Product Details

EVIDENT Precision Thickness GaugeMagna Mike 8600 is a portable thickness gauge that uses a simple magnetic method to reliably and repetitively measure the thickness of non-ferrous materials. The operation of Magna Mike instrument is very simple. When measuring, hold or move the magnetic probe on one side of the material being measured, and place a small target steel ball (or target disk, target steel wire) on the other side of the material or in a container. The Hall effect sensor of the probe measures the distance from the probe end to the target steel ball. The measured distance is immediately displayed on the screen as a thickness reading in easily recognizable numerical form.

Three new probe designs

EVIDENT Precision Thickness GaugeMagna Mike 8600 offers three types of magnetic probes: straight, right angle, and thin articulated. The 86PR-1 and 86-PR2 probes are equipped with replaceable wear-resistant ends, which enhances the durability of the probes and reduces the cost of replacing them.

Detachable standard anti-wear end, detachable reinforced anti-wear end, detachable chisel pointed anti-wear end, 86PR-3 thin type

The measured thickness range is between 0.001 millimeters and 25.4 millimeters

Magna Mike provides users with more target options to enhance the measurement performance of the instrument.

Built in alphanumeric data logger

Magna Mike is equipped with a file based extended alphanumeric data logger for convenient storage and transmission of thickness readings. The data logger can store thickness readings in four standard file formats: incremental, sequential, sequential with custom points, and two-dimensional raster.

  • You can use WINXL to directly transfer data to an Excel spreadsheet in separate or file format

  • Send data to other SPC programs

  • USB and RS-232 outputs

  • Export files in. txt or CSV format to a pluggable microSD card

  • Create onboard report

Connect directly to an Excel spreadsheet

The Magna Mike 8600 comes with RS-232 and USB outputs, allowing the instrument to directly transfer data to an Excel spreadsheet. The built-in WINXL interface program can transmit thickness readings separately or in file format.
