Dust collector for spray painting workshop
Dust collector is a device that separates and captures dust in gas through physical or chemical methods. Different types of dust collectors have different working processes. The following are common types of working processes:
gravity dust collector
-Principle: Utilize the gravity of dust itself to settle and separate it from the airflow.
-Working process: After the dust containing gas enters the dust collector, the flow rate decreases due to the expansion of the cross-sectional area. The dust gradually settles to the bottom ash hopper under the action of gravity, and the purified gas is discharged from the top.
Inertial dust collector
-Principle: Dust is separated from gas by inertia force through sudden changes in airflow direction or collision with obstacles.
-Working process: When the dusty gas flows through the baffle or baffle, the direction of the airflow changes, and the dust continues to move forward due to inertia. After hitting the baffle, it settles, and the purified gas is discharged through the outlet.
Centrifugal dust collector (cyclone dust collector)
-Principle: Use centrifugal force to separate dust from the airflow.
-Working process: The dusty gas enters along the tangent direction of the dust collector cylinder, forming a rotating airflow. The dust is thrown towards the cylinder wall under centrifugal force, settles along the wall to the ash hopper, and the purified gas is discharged from the central pipe.

-Principle: Filter dust in gas through filter bags.
-Working process:
After entering the dust collector, the dusty gas flows from the outside to the inside of the filter bag, and the dust is trapped on the surface of the filter bag;
2. The purified gas enters the upper box through the filter bag and is discharged from the air outlet;
When the dust accumulation on the surface of the filter bag reaches a certain level, it is cleaned by pulse blowing, mechanical vibration and other methods, and the dust falls into the ash hopper.
Electrostatic precipitator
-Principle: Using a high-voltage electric field to make dust charged and adsorbed on the electrode.
-Working process:
When a dusty gas passes through a high-voltage electric field, the dust particles are ionized and charged;
2. Under the action of electric field force, charged dust moves towards the opposite electrode and adsorbs onto the electrode plate;
3. Use vibration and other methods to make the dust on the electrode fall into the ash hopper and purify the gas for discharge.
Wet dust collector (spray tower/Venturi dust collector)
-Principle: Dust is captured by contact between a liquid (water or other solution) and a dusty gas.
-Working process:
-Dust containing gases come into contact with sprayed droplets, liquid films, or mist, causing dust to agglomerate or be directly trapped after being wetted by the liquid;
-The dust containing wastewater formed is recycled or discharged after treatment, and the purified gas is discharged after removing water vapor through a defogger.

-Dust separation: The separation of dust and gas is achieved through gravity, inertia, centrifugal force, filtration, electrostatic or wet methods;
-Dust collection: The separated dust settles or adsorbs to the dust collection device (ash hopper, filter bag, electrode plate, etc.);
-Dust removal and discharge: Regularly remove dust from the dust collection device to prevent blockage and recycle it.
Different dust collectors are suitable for different dust characteristics (such as particle size, concentration, conductivity, etc.), and the appropriate type should be selected according to the working conditions in practical applications.
