The Soxhlet extractor, also known as a fat extractor or fat extractor, is composed of three parts: an extraction bottle, an extraction tube, and a condenser. There are siphon tubes and connecting tubes on both sides of the extraction tube, and the connections between each part should be tight and not leak.
Advantages of Soxhlet extractor:

The Soxhlet extractor (also known as a fat analyzer or crude fat analyzer) mainly consists of three parts: heating extraction, solvent recovery, and cooling. During operation, the heating temperature can be adjusted according to the boiling point of the reagent and the ambient temperature. The sample is repeatedly soaked and extracted during the extraction process to achieve rapid extraction.
Application scope: It can be used to extract various samples such as grain, feed, oilseeds, soil, etc.
Installation steps of Soxhlet extractor
1. Open the packaging and check if the instruments and accessories are complete and if there is any damage.
2. Move the host to the workbench, connect the inlet pipe behind the instrument to the faucet, and connect the outlet pipe to the sewer. Note that the interface should be tightly fastened with clamps or zip ties to prevent the water pipe from falling off.


Dry fat determination deviceThe content of seed fat is one of the important indicators for evaluating the quality of grain seeds. Taking peanuts as an example, peanuts are the main oil and grain crops in China, with a fat content of 45% -55%. The amount of fat content will directly affect the price of peanuts. In fact, there are many methods for measuring crude fat content in the market, such as national standard method, hot extraction oil weight method, and residual method. However, the currently widely used measurement method is still the instrumental method (fat analyzer), which mainly uses the Soxhlet extraction principle and weight measurement method to determine fat content. Below is a brief analysis of the differences between crude fat content and other fat measurement methods.
The advantage of the hot dip oil gravimetric method is that it uses a fat analyzer to immerse the sample in boiling solvent, allowing the fat to quickly enter the solvent. Different samples only require changing the leaching time, and changing the leaching time has a greater impact than changing the leaching time. The residual soaking method can be used at night without heating or reflux, without the need for protection, and does not take up working days. The fat added to fried foods such as instant noodles, although high in content, is easily leached out. Compared with the national standard method, it saves a lot of time required for constant weight and simplifies the experimental operation steps. Although time-consuming, the national standard method is still widely used.
Through comparison, it was found that the national standard method, hot extraction oil weight method, and residual method all have good reproducibility and accuracy, indicating that the two improved methods have accurate and reliable measurement results, and under certain conditions, the three methods can be used interchangeably.
The fat analyzer mainly consists of three parts: heating extraction, flux recovery, and cooling. According to the Soxhlet extraction principle, the fat content is determined by weight measurement method. Dissolve fat in organic flux, separate the fat from the flux using extraction method, then dry, weigh, and calculate the fat content. It is understood that SZF-06C can simultaneously measure the fat content of 6 samples, achieving rapid and accurate fat measurement, and meeting the requirements for fat content measurement in daily production and commercial transactions.
