The drum grinder consists of a gear motor installed on a sturdy steel frame, a set of separation grids, and a sample collector. The TM 300 is designed with a yoke and locking device for easy sampling.
The sample capacity of TM 300 can reach up to 20 liters, making it also suitable for scaling up processes.

Working principle:

inDrum grinderIn the middle, the sample (usually pre crushed material) is placed together with the grinding ball in the drum and subjected to external force.
A ball mill is used to finely grind solid materials under dry conditions through impact and friction. The drum containing the sample and grinding ball rotates around a horizontal axis. When using larger diameter grinding balls, particles are more prone to breakage, while smaller diameters result in smaller final fineness.
The concepts of ball mill and rod mill are basically the same, both consisting of a 12 ''x12' 'grinding tank with grinding balls or a 12''x24 '' grinding tank with grinding rods:
In order to conduct adhesion index testing, a predetermined number of grinding balls or grinding rods are required.
During the grinding process, the speed difference between the grinding ball/rod and the grinding tank generates frictional and impact forces, thereby releasing the required crushing energy. The interaction between these forces produces a very effective crushing effect.
