1、 Transportation and storage of resin:

Ion exchange resin contains a certain amount of moisture, which should be maintained as much as possible during transportation and storage. If the resin loses water during storage, it should be soaked in concentrated saline water (8-10%) for 1-2 hours before gradually diluting. It should not be directly placed in water to avoid rapid expansion and breakage of the resin. During storage or transportation, the resin should be kept in a temperature environment of 5-40 ℃ to avoid overcooling or overheating, which may affect its quality. If there is no insulation equipment in winter, the resin can be stored in saline solution, and the temperature of the saline solution can be determined according to the temperature.

2、 Pre treatment of new resin:

New resins often contain solvents, substances that have not participated in polymerization reactions, and small amounts of low polymers, and may also adsorb heavy metal ions such as iron, aluminum, and copper. When the resin comes into contact with water, acid, alkali, or other solutions, the soluble impurities mentioned above will be transferred into the solution, contaminating the effluent quality in the early stages of use.
