Adsorption is a common method for purifying gaseous pollutants, which uses porous solid adsorbents to accumulate or condense one or more components in the gas on its surface to achieve separation. It is particularly suitable for treating low concentration exhaust gas with high purification requirements. Activated carbon has abundant internal pores and a huge specific surface area, making it a common adsorbent. This experimental setup uses an organic glass adsorption tower with activated carbon as the adsorbent. Adsorption experiments are conducted by simulating the occurrence of organic gas or NO gas, and data such as adsorption purification efficiency, breakthrough curves at different empty tower gas velocities, and protection time are obtained.
