Awakening Experimental Animal Detection System - NAM (Non Invasive Special Airway Resistance sRaw Detection)
The NAM (Non Invasive Airway Mechanics) non-invasive dual chamber detection system is suitable for non-invasive monitoring of lung ventilation function in conscious experimental animals. By detecting the phase difference between nasal airflow and chest airflow, the special airway resistance (sRaw) is calculated. It is currently widely accepted as an ideal indicator to replace invasive detection and has been widely recognized as a non-invasive detection standard in the industry for nearly 30 years, replacing EF50 and Penh. It is an ideal tool for longitudinal research on airway resistance in conscious animals.
Applicable species: mice, rats, guinea pigs
The cavity adopts Allay ™ The restraint device of the technology integrates pneumotach and reference chamber, which ensures that animals maintain a natural breathing state during the monitoring process, avoiding chest and abdominal compression and respiratory obstruction, greatly reducing the adaptation time of animals.
Halcyon ® The noise reduction design of the cavity detects signals from two channels leading to the animal chamber and the control chamber through two detection ports of the sensor, in order to distinguish external interference signals and signals generated by animal respiration, thereby eliminating noise, including internal vibration interference caused by animal activities and noise caused by door closing, air ventilation ducts or other air disturbances, further improving data accuracy and reliability.

The system comes standard with two types of workstations: dual chamber and four chamber. If four animals need to be tested simultaneously, the four chamber version is optional.

Flexible configuration, the same workstation can accommodate chambers of different sizes, and users can freely replace them.
