The WBP (Whole Body Plehysmography) whole body plethysmography detection system is used to monitor the respiratory and lung function of experimental animals in conscious, free range of motion, unconstrained, and non anesthetized states. It is one of the core group trials for safety pharmacology GLP. It can accurately detect subtle pressure changes caused by the flow of airflow inside and outside the chamber. Awakening Experimental Animal Detection System - WBP (Whole Body Volume)


The WBP (Whole Body Plehysmography) whole body plethysmography detection system is used to monitor the respiratory and lung function of experimental animals in conscious, free range of motion, unconstrained, and non anesthetized states. It is one of the core group trials for safety pharmacology GLP. Apply Halcyon ® Noise reduction technology, Pneumotachs can accurately detect subtle pressure changes caused by airflow flowing inside and outside the chamber. The FinePointe software platform performs professional derivation and analysis of corresponding signals and data, providing professional and accurate respiratory function related parameters such as tidal volume and bronchoconstriction. There is an optional chamber with a Tower at the top, which supports simultaneous blood collection and medication administration.

Animals larger than guinea pigs need to be equipped with QT signal modulators, flow sensors, respiratory volume chambers, and other devices to detect respiratory signals.

Halcyon ® Noise reduction technology

Applied to the DSI Buxco full platform respiratory plethysmography chamber, it helps to reduce internal vibration interference caused by the free movement of experimental animals, as well as noise caused by other air disturbances such as door closing and air ventilation ducts. After verification, its noise reduction effect can reach more than 20 times. By using two detection ports with built-in sensors in the cavity, this technology can detect signals leading to the animal chamber and the control chamber separately, distinguish external interference signals from signals generated by animal respiration, thereby eliminating noise signals and greatly improving the accuracy of detection systems such as WBP and Functional Resi duality.

WBP system features:
