Operation steps for sample preparation:

1. Place the lens flat on the pad, with the convex surface facing upwards.

2. The cutting blade can be smoothly rolled over the lens to obtain a strip-shaped test sample.


Attention points:

1. Make good use of the marking lines on the pad and try to position the cut sample in the middle of the lens.

2. Controlling the speed is beneficial for cutting test samples with smooth edges.

3. Control the balance of the left and right blades to avoid situations where one side is not fully cut.

4. Control the force to ensure that the entire lens is cut through at once.


Hint:

After using the rolling cutter, a small amount of rust inhibitor can be sprayed on the blade for storage.

After use, place the cutting knife in the knife holder for storage to prevent injury.

If it is found that the rolling cutter is not sharp enough, the blade or the entire rolling cutter set should be replaced in a timely manner.

The edges of samples cut by non sharp blades may be damaged, leading to premature tearing of the samples and significantly lower test results.



Replacement of rolling cutter group:

The rolling cutter set is directly pressed into the tool holder. To remove the rolling cutter set, take oneUse a hard object, such as a pen or screwdriver, to pull out or pry the rolling cutter assembly

Just go out, when installing it back, place the rolling cutter group flat on the cushion plate,Press the handle firmly to assemble it together.


The factory default width of the rolling cutter set is 6 ± 0.2mm. If you want to change the rolling cutterThe spacing can be adjusted by disassembling the rolling cutter group and reassembling the thickness of the gasket.

The thickness of the rolling blade is 0.3mm, and the blade edge is symmetrical, so the spacing between the blades isThe distance is N-0.3mm, where N is the target width of the test sample.

Changing the spacing between rolling cutters is usually not recommended for customers to operate on their own, and it is recommended to do soOrder directly from us for rolling cutters with different spacing.
