A melt flow rate tester (also known as a melt index meter) is a specialized instrument used to measure the melt flow rate of thermoplastic materials under certain conditions. The melt flow rate (melt index) of thermoplastic refers to the mass or melt volume of the melt passing through a standard die capillary every 10 minutes at a certain temperature and load, expressed as MFR (MI) or MVR value, which can distinguish the viscous flow characteristics of thermoplastic in the molten state. The quality assurance of raw materials and products for thermoplastic and synthetic fibers is of great significance. This machine has high temperature control accuracy, key parts undergo nitriding treatment, high strength and hardness, and small deformation, which provides good conditions for accurately measuring flow rate. The barrel, piston rod, die, and related components of RL-Z1B1 type are made of special materials used in aviation engines, which have good corrosion resistance and can even be used to test materials such as F46 (tetrafluoroethylene hexafluoropropylene polymer).
