1、 Product Overview

2、 Working principle

Magnetic induction principle: using the attractive force of a magnet on ferromagnetic materials to measure the thickness of the coating. When a magnet approaches the coating, its attraction will change due to changes in coating thickness, and the coating thickness can be determined by measuring this change. This method is suitable for measuring non-magnetic coatings on ferromagnetic substrates, such as galvanized coatings on iron substrates.

Eddy current principle: Eddy current is generated on a conductive substrate through high-frequency AC signals, and the magnitude and phase of the eddy current are related to the thickness of the coating. When the thickness of the coating changes, the characteristics of eddy currents will also change accordingly, thus achieving the measurement of coating thickness. This method is suitable for measuring non-conductive coatings on non ferromagnetic metal substrates, such as paint layers on aluminum substrates.
