Product Details

CCDM-1000Capacitor charging and discharging testerUsed to study the high-voltage charging and discharging performance of capacitors, it integrates a controller, high-voltage power supply, and signal collector, with testing functions such as over damping, under damping, and fatigue, and is equipped with a high-voltage breakdown protection module. The system automatically collects the voltage changes at both ends of the sample during the charging and discharging process, and directly provides the energy storage density. It has the characteristics of high integration, easy operation, and high measurement accuracy. When used in conjunction with the VTMP400 variable temperature comprehensive testing platform, it can achieve variable temperature testing within the maximum temperature range of -160 to 260 ℃.

The capacitor charging and discharging testing system uses special high-voltage switches to control the charging and discharging process separately. High precision high-voltage non inductive resistors are used as the discharge load, and the released energy is collected by the system's built-in signal collector and directly given the discharge energy density through program analysis.

Charging process: When the capacitor is connected to the DC power supply, the charge at the positive terminal connected to the power supply will run towards the negative terminal connected to the power supply under the action of electric field force, causing the positive terminal connected to the power supply to be positively charged and the negative terminal connected to the power supply to be negatively charged. The capacitor begins to charge and store charge. The movement of charges forms an electric current, which initially reaches its maximum and gradually decreases thereafter; The capacitance charge is at its minimum at the beginning of charge movement, reaching zero, and then gradually increases. When it reaches the same level as the power supply voltage, the charging is complete and the current decreases to zero.

Discharge process: When the capacitor is disconnected from the DC power supply and forms a closed circuit with the load without power supply, the capacitor begins to discharge and release the stored charge.

CDM-1000Capacitor charging and discharging testerThe entire testing process is automatically controlled by a computer program and the test results are saved, making it particularly suitable for long-term charge and discharge life testing.

Main technical indicators:
1) Test voltage: 5 kV/10kV (optional);
2) Maximum discharge peak current: 100 A;
3) Sampling accuracy: better than 0.5%.
