High performance isothermal calorimeter - I-Cal Ultra
Background: The isothermal calorimetry method used for cement testing measures the heat generated by the hydration reaction of cementitious materials in a strictly controlled temperature environment. The continuous measurement of heat release rate is used to characterize the reaction rate of cementitious materials. The reaction rate is a determining factor for engineering performance such as workability, setting time, and early strength development. Calorimetry is widely used in the research and development of new materials and processes in the cement industry. I-Cal Ultra: Advanced precision testing for cement and volcanic ash materials. I-Cal Ultra is an advanced isothermal calorimeter that can be used for differential measurements of up to 8 independent sample channels, with built-in independent variable reference samples. It complies with ASTM C1679, ASTM C563, ASTM C1702, and EN 196-11 standards, making it ideal for measuring cementitious materials that require high precision or very long-term testing. The I-Cal Ultra can carry up to 8 independent plug and play calorimeters. Users can choose the number of calorimeter units they want to install between 1 and 8 channels. Each calorimeter can be individually removed or inserted into the constant temperature chamber according to the user's judgment. I-Cal Ultra is an isothermal calorimeter that isolates each sample cell from the others, eliminating any crosstalk and providing high accuracy and stability. The sample Ampere bottle and advanced built-in mixer are a true mixer on the market. When competitors' mixers often fail to mix correctly, it can ensure that the cement slurry is fully mixed.
