Overview

The ELEMENTRAC CS-r carbon/sulfur analyzer determines carbon and sulfur elements by burning the sample in an oxygen stream and subsequently measuring the combustion gases CO2, SO2, and H2O in a selective infrared measurement cell. The sample weight of up to 500 milligrams ensures excellent reproducibility of elemental analysis results, even for complex sample mixtures.

Product Details

For the safe, accurate, and reliable analysis of carbon (C) and sulfur (S) elements in major organic matrices such as soil, waste, wood, oil, coal, and coke, ELTRA provides the ELEMENTRAC CS-r combustion analyzer with infrared detection.
ElementracCS-r carbon/sulfur analyzerEquipped with up to 4 infrared units, designed for measuring carbon and sulfur over a very wide concentration range. It adopts a horizontal resistance furnace with ceramic tubes, with a working temperature range of 600 ℃ to 1550 ℃.
ElementracCS-r carbon/sulfur analyzerMeets or exceeds the elemental analysis requirements of all common ASTM, DIN, EN, or ISO standards.

Advantages:

Quickly and simultaneously measure carbon and sulfur

Can achieve analysis of large scale samples

Optimize (low blank) sample port

IR gold-plated detector, extending service life

Wide measurement range, from 20ppm to 100%

Typical sample materials:

Biomass, building materials, coal/coke, fuel, oil, ore, plant materials, plastics, rubber, soil, coal smoke, tobacco, waste, etc.

Working principle:

In the element analyzer CS-r, the sample is burned in an oxygen environment at a temperature of up to 1550 ℃. The furnace temperature can be adjusted in units of 1 ℃. The burning gases (CO2, H2O, SO2) come out of the furnace and pass through a dust filter. After the water vapor is absorbed by the purification tube, dry CO2 and SO2 gases are detected in the infrared detector. Depending on the configuration, up to four infrared detectors with different sensitivities (for C and S analyzers) can be combined.
