CHIRALPAK ZWIX (+) ZWIX (-) zwitterionic chiral columnIt is a zwitterionic chiral stationary phase mainly used for separating free amino acids. It interacts with anion exchange groups and cation exchange groups, and has significant stereoselectivity for zwitterionic chiral compounds, especially undifferentiated amino acids and peptides. Providing chiral column products with 3 μ m filler particle size greatly improves the separation success rate.

Mobile phase:

  • In the zwitterionic mode, all substances involved in ion exchange equilibrium need to dissociate well in the mobile phase, so bi needs to provide a protonated mobile phase.

  • Conventional HPLC solvents can be used, such as methanol, acetonitrile, water, tetrafuran, etc., as the mobile phase.

Specific types include: solvent resistant crown ether chiral chromatography column CROWNPAK ® CR-I(+)/CR-I(-), CROWNPAK coated crown ether chiral chromatography column ® CR(+)/CR(-), CHIRALPAK ion exchange chiral chromatography column ® QD-AX/QN-AX, CHIRALPAK chiral chromatography column with zwitterionic ion exchange ® ZWIX(+)/ZWIX(-), CHIRALPAK ligand exchange chiral chromatographic column ® MA(+)/WH、 CHIRALPAK chiral chromatography column for poly (methyl methacrylate) ® OP(+)/OT(+)。
The chiral recognition mechanism of crown ether chiral columns: Under acidic conditions, the sample protonates into ammonium ions (- NH3+), forming reversible complexes with crown ethers, which can be used to separate amino acids and compounds with primary amine groups on the chiral center.
The ion exchange chiral column is a weak anion exchange HPLC chromatographic column with chiral selectivity, which is very suitable for separating acidic chiral compounds. It has significant chiral separation ability for chiral compounds containing carboxyl, phosphate, hypophosphite or sulfonic acid groups, and can also separate weakly acidic compounds such as phenols (coumarins).
The zwitterionic ion exchange chiral column can be used as a zwitterionic chiral stationary phase for separating free amino acids, and has significant stereoselectivity for zwitterionic chiral compounds, especially non derived amino acids and peptides.
