Below is a list of general usage tips for Hawei HAWE solenoid valves (including BVEM/BVG/BVE series), which can be used directly on site according to seven modules: installation, electrical, medium, operation, maintenance, contraindications, and quick troubleshooting.
1、 Installation knowledge (determining lifespan and leakage)
Installation posture: The electromagnet is vertically facing upwards (horizontal/inverted is strictly prohibited) to avoid the valve core being stuck by gravity, poor reset, and increased leakage.
Correct flow direction: The arrow on the valve body must be aligned with the direction of oil flow and cannot be reversed.
Installation surface: The flatness of the installation surface of the plate valve is ≤ 0.02 mm, clean and free of burrs; Tighten diagonally evenly, with torque according to the model (such as BVEM 11:5-6 N · m), and do not over fracture the valve body.
Pipeline cleaning: Rinse the pipeline before installation (0.3 MPa low-pressure flushing) to remove iron filings, rust, and sealing residue; A 10 μ m filter must be installed in front of the valve.
Environment: IP65 dustproof and waterproof, avoiding long-term immersion, high temperature direct exposure, and strong corrosion; Reserve space for heat dissipation and disassembly.
Vibration prevention: Fixed/shock-absorbing pipes are added to prevent vibration transmission from causing looseness, leakage, and coil damage.
2、 Electrical knowledge (coils are most prone to damage)
Voltage strict matching: DC24V ± 10%. It is strictly prohibited to connect AC220/380 or the wrong voltage.
Coil resistance: about 28 Ω in cold state (BVEM 11), large deviation/infinity=coil damage.
Control mode: Short pulse commutation (200-500 ms), long-term power on is prohibited (coil temperature rise ≤ 50K, long-term power on overheating, magnetic attenuation, coil burning).
Wiring specification: PG9 waterproof joint, single ended grounding of shielding layer; Stay away from the frequency converter/power line (≥ 1 m) to prevent interference.
Insulation and grounding: the shell is reliably grounded; Strengthen insulation in humid/harsh environments to prevent electrical leakage and short circuits.
3、 Knowledge of media and oil temperature (key to zero leakage)
Medium: Mineral hydraulic oil ISO VG32-68; Prohibit water, emulsions, and high water content media (except for special seals).
Oil temperature: -20 ℃ to+80 ℃, with an optimal range of 30-60 ℃; >Accelerated seal aging and decrease in oil viscosity at 80 ℃; Preheat is required when<0 ℃ to prevent jamming.
Cleanliness: ISO 4406 18/15/12 (≈ NAS 7), contamination is the primary cause of jamming, internal leakage, and zero leakage failure.
Sealing material: standard NBR (nitrile rubber); FKM (fluororubber) is used for high temperature/special media.
4、 Startup and operation instructions (anti impact, anti jamming)
Before starting up: system pressure relief (accumulator oil discharge, pump unloading); Manually check the push rod of the electromagnet, gently press it smoothly without any jamming.
Low pressure flushing: ≤ 50 bar, jog and change direction 5-10 times, smooth operation, no abnormal noise, no leakage, then increase pressure.
Gradually increase the pressure: 50 → 100 → 200 → 400 bar (by model), hold for 3-5 minutes at each stage, and check for leaks/heating.
Key operating points:
Power loss: Neutral closure, A/B locking, zero leakage
Power on: Reverse direction (P → A, B → T)
Frequency: ≤ 30 times/minute, high-frequency enhanced cooling and filtration.
Shutdown: Release pressure first → Power off → Spring reset center closed; Long term shutdown dust protection, low-pressure flushing before the next startup.
5、 Daily maintenance tips (extending lifespan, reducing malfunctions)
Daily inspection: external leakage (no oil leakage in valve body/joint), coil temperature (≤ 80 ℃), and action (crisp and no jamming or abnormal noise).
Quarterly maintenance: Check wiring tightness, coil resistance, and filter differential pressure (replace filter element if>0.3 bar); Test the reversing response, and if it slows down, remove and wash the valve core.
Annual maintenance: Disassemble and clean the valve core (neutral cleaner, wire brush prohibited), replace seals (original factory), and check spring fatigue.
Long term shutdown: power off to relieve pressure, oil discharge to prevent dust; Low voltage no-load test run 5-10 times during reuse.
