Overview

The fully automatic maximum theoretical density meter for asphalt mixtures is sold for the vacuum method to determine the theoretical relative density of the mixture. It is used for asphalt mixture mix design, road condition adjustment, or pavement construction quality management to calculate void ratio and compaction degree.

Product Details

HLM-3 typeAutomatic maximum theoretical density meter for asphalt mixture*Selling technical specifications:

Power supply: 220V ± 10% 50Hz

Container capacity: 4300ml x 2 pieces

Vacuum pump: 120W

Pressure range: 0-100Kpa

Vibration power: 30W

Automatic maximum theoretical density meter for asphalt mixture*Selling and usage methods:

1. Put the prepared mixture samples into the container according to the specified quantity before the experiment, and add an appropriate amount of water at the specified temperature to fully immerse the samples. The amount of water should not be too much to prevent damage to the vacuum pump caused by suction.

2. Place the negative pressure container into the positioning ring of the vibration table, cover the container with the lid, and ensure that the edge of the container is in contact with the rubber ring * in the groove of the lid to prevent external air from entering the container during pumping.

3. Close the air release valve (turn it to the right to prevent air leakage), turn on the power switch (the switch light is on), press the suction/stop button, and the vacuum pump starts to draw negative pressure. When the negative pressure gauge indicates a negative pressure of 97.3Kpa (0.973mKpa), press the suction/stop button, and the vacuum pump stops working. After maintaining this pressure for 15 minutes (the vibration device should not be turned on during pumping), press the vibration button to start the vibration of the instrument vibration table. There are two types of vibration modes, one is continuous vibration, and the other is intermittent vibration, which means the vibration, intermittent, and re vibration cycle work. When stopping the vibration, press the vibration/stop button again to stop the vibration of the vibration table.

4. If there is insufficient vacuum pressure during the experiment, check whether the connections between each component are tight.

The theoretical high relative density meter for asphalt mixtures is manufactured and produced according to T0711-1993 in the Test Code for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures in Highway Engineering (JTJ052-2000).

Precautions for HLM-3 type asphalt mixture theoretical high relative density meter:

1. Before using the instrument, it is necessary to check whether the lubricating oil in the vacuum pump is in place. If the oil level is insufficient or the oil quality deteriorates, it should be added or replaced in a timely manner (No. 32 mechanical oil). Vacuum pumps are strictly prohibited from operating without oil. It is strictly prohibited to block the exhaust port during operation

2. After placing the sample in the container, the water level should be 3cm below the upper edge of the container to prevent water from entering the vacuum pump and causing the lubricating oil to deteriorate and damage the vacuum pump.

3. If there is no pressure indication on the vacuum pressure gauge when the vacuum pump is pumping negative pressure, it should be shut down to investigate the cause before restarting. Vacuum pumps are prone to damage when operating without negative pressure for a long time.
