Hamilton isAutomated biological sample libraryProvide full process solutions
By integrating automated lid opening machines, liquid processing workstations, and -20 ° C automated refrigerators, it is possible to achieveAutomated biological sample libraryThe entire process. The dedicated freezer in the automatic refrigerator can safely and reliably store your samples. In this way, the required laboratory space is much smaller than traditional manual methods, greatly improving work efficiency.

Sample packaging and storage
With this device, storing blood samples has become very simple. Just place the blood sample on the carrier of the liquid processing workstation and press the start button. Afterwards, the workstation will transfer the packaged blood components to a dedicated storage tube. Then, the frozen storage tube is automatically covered with a lid and moved into the automated refrigerator by a robotic arm. All relevant information of the sample will be uploaded to the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Sample extraction
To extract samples for testing, instructions can be issued on LIS or directly on the system. The automated VersoQ series will select all the samples you require and transfer them out of the automated refrigerator. After thawing, the sample is automatically uncovered and transferred to the designated container. Then, these prepared containers can be easily removed from the liquid processing workstation. In addition, commands can be directly issued from the VersoQ series storage system and samples can be taken out in a frozen state and sent to different laboratories.

Compact yet powerful
The VersoQ series automated refrigerators have a large storage capacity and an extremely compact footprint. For example, VersoQ75 can store up to 90100 Hamilton cryovials of 0.6mL on a 1.5 square meter footprint. In this way, the laboratory can store samples in a centralized location, creating a more efficient and simplified workflow. For workflows that require storing hundreds of thousands of cryovials, Hamilton also offers larger modular automated refrigerators.
Automation saves space
An example of automated workflow for serum sample packaging and cryopreservation is the integration of VersoQ75, Hamilton STARV liquid processing workstation, and LabElite capping machine. It covers an area of only 7 square meters and can safely store up to 90100 cryovials. If a traditional manual refrigerator is used to store the same number of samples, 17 standard refrigerators are required, each capable of storing 5500 tubes of samples. This will require 22 square meters of laboratory space. By using smaller freezer tubes in automated systems instead of the commonly used tubes in manual refrigerators, a significant amount of space can be saved. The rated storage temperature of Hamilton cryovials can be as low as -196 ° C, which makes laboratories storing samples at -20 ° C more reassuring.
