Atlas tightening controller displays E003 alarm code, usually indicating "motor overload". This means that the controller detects that the motor current exceeds the preset safe value, which may cause damage to the motor or controller, triggering the protection mechanism, stopping operation, and displaying an alarm.
2、 Atlas tightening controller alarm E003: troubleshooting
When an E003 alarm occurs, the following steps can be followed for troubleshooting:
Check the power supply voltage: Use a multimeter to measure the input voltage of the controller, ensuring that it is within the rated voltage range (e.g. 220V ± 10%). Excessive or insufficient voltage can cause motor overload.
Check motor connection: Disconnect the power supply and check if the connection wire between the motor and the controller is loose, damaged, or has poor contact.
Check mechanical load: manually rotate the motor shaft and check for any abnormal conditions such as jamming or excessive resistance. Excessive mechanical load can cause motor overload.
Check the motor itself: disconnect the motor from the load, run the motor without load, and observe if the E003 alarm still occurs.
