The HYCZ-5 rutting instrument is suitable for conducting experiments on plate test specimens with a length of 300mm, a width of 300mm, and a thickness of 30mm~100mm that are rolled by a wheel rolling forming machine. It is also suitable for on-site cutting and production of panel specimens with a length of 300mm, a width of 150mm, and a thickness of 50mm. Specimens with a thickness of 30mm~100mm can also be used.

1、 Working principle:
1. The testing instrument adopts the method of fixing the test piece and moving the test wheel. The specimen is fixed in a constant temperature bath, and the test wheel is driven back and forth by the reduction motor and crankshaft connecting rod to roll the specimen at a certain speed.
2. The displacement sensor detects the slight deformation of the specimen under the rolling action of the test wheel, and these deformation data, as well as the number of movements of the test wheel, are transmitted to a computer or related data processing system.
3. By calculating and analyzing the data, the rutting deformation rate and other indicators of asphalt mixture are obtained, usually represented by the number of walks per 1mm deformation (i.e. dynamic stability) to indicate its resistance to rutting.
2、 Structural composition:
1. Test bench: It can firmly install test molds of specified sizes, generally suitable for commonly used 300mm × 300mm × 50mm (laboratory made) and 150mm wide on-site cut test molds of other sizes.
2. Test wheel: It is usually a solid rubber tire with strict standard requirements for outer diameter, wheel width, rubber layer thickness, and rubber hardness. For example, the outer diameter is generally 200mm, the wheel width is 50mm, the rubber layer thickness is 15mm, and the rubber hardness is 78 ± 2 at 60 ℃.
3. Loading device: used to make the contact pressure between the test wheel and the specimen reach the specified value, for example, it is usually 0.7MPa ± 0.05MPa at 60 ℃, and the total load applied is generally about 78kg. The load of some equipment can be adjusted as needed.
4. Deformation measurement device: High precision displacement sensors such as LVDT, electric dial gauges, or non-contact displacement meters are often used to accurately detect wheel rut deformation and automatically record deformation curves.
5. Temperature detection device: composed of temperature sensors, thermometers, etc., it can automatically detect and record the temperature on the surface of the specimen and in the constant temperature chamber, ensuring the accuracy and stability of the test temperature.
6. Control system: including electrical control part and data processing system, used to control the movement of the test wheel, adjust the temperature, and collect, process, and store data. Some advanced testing instruments are also equipped with touch screens, computer software, and other operation and display interfaces, making it convenient for users to operate and view test results.
