This pre made reagent is optimized based on the "Determination of Ammonia Nitrogen in Water Quality - Salicylic Acid spectrophotometric method" (HJ 536-2009). Under the action of nitrate PUNA in alkaline solution (pH=11.7), ammonia and ammonium ions in water react with salicylates, sodium dichloroisocyanates or hypochlorite ions to form blue compounds, whose color intensity is directly proportional to the content of ammonia nitrogen in water. Measure the absorbance at a wavelength of 655nm using a spectrophotometer. This prefabricated reagent has the advantages of strong anti-interference ability, wide testing range, and easy operation, which can meet the requirements of users for batch, rapid, and accurate determination of various water quality ammonia nitrogen indicators. If the color of the water sample is too dark, the salt content is too high, the potassium tartrate has insufficient masking ability for metal ions in the water sample, or there are high concentrations of calcium, magnesium, or chloride ions in the water sample, pre distillation is needed for treatment.
