The main factors causing material aging are sunlight and humidity. The weather resistance test chamber can simulate the hazards caused by sunlight, rainwater, and dew. The weather resistance test chamber uses xenon lamps to simulate the effect of sunlight exposure, and uses condensed moisture to simulate rainwater and dew. The tested material is placed in a cyclic program of alternating light and moisture at a certain temperature for testing. It takes several days or weeks to reproduce the hazards that occur outdoors for months or even years. Artificial accelerated aging test data can help select new materials, modify existing materials, and evaluate how changes in formulations affect product durability.

This equipment is a test device that uses a long arc xenon lamp as a light source to simulate and enhance weather resistance and accelerate aging, in order to quickly obtain near atmospheric aging test results and evaluate the weather resistance of materials such as plastic rubber, paint coatings, textile printing and dyeing. The equipment meets relevant standards such as GB/T16422-2, ASTMD529, ISO4892-2, etc.

Structural characteristics of air-cooled xenon lamp weather resistance test chamber
1. Shower ventilation cooling device: The temperature ventilation cooling system of the test chamber is automatically controlled by a temperature controller.
2. Rain system: The rain system of the equipment consists of components such as water pump, time relay, nozzle, etc., and the spraying cycle can be adjusted.
3. Use fiber optic transmission to measure the radiation intensity of xenon lamps, avoiding measurement errors caused by temperature.
4. The cooling water for xenon lamps adopts a refrigeration unit, and the water can be recycled, reducing equipment operation and maintenance costs.
5. The sample holder rotates around the light source at a speed of 1r/min, and a blackboard thermometer BPT or a black standard thermometer BST is installed on the sample holder.
6. Timing device: In order to record the working time of each experiment, the equipment is equipped with a timer on the operation panel, which can control the equipment time. When the timer ends, the equipment will automatically shut down.
7. Protection device: In order to ensure the normal operation of the xenon arc lamp and prevent damage, this equipment is equipped with a protective device that, in addition to the xenon arc lamp ignition being interlocked with the cooling water on the circuit (i.e. the xenon arc lamp cannot be lit when the cooling water is not working), automatically extinguishes the xenon lamp and stops the entire machine from working if a cooling water fault occurs during operation.
