Overview
A UV aging test chamber that meets aviation standards uses imported UV lamps as the light source. By simulating UV radiation and condensation in natural sunlight, accelerated weather resistance tests are conducted on materials to verify their aging resistance. It can simulate environmental conditions such as UV, rain, high temperature, high humidity, condensation, and darkness in natural climate, and merge them into a cycle to comprehensively and automatically complete the aging resistance test of materials.

Test scope:

The aviation ultraviolet aging tester is widely used in aviation, automotive, home appliances, and scientific research fields, mainly for evaluating the changes of materials in fading, color change, gloss, cracking, foaming, brittleness, oxidation, and other aspects. This device simulates ultraviolet radiation in sunlight to accelerate the aging process of materials and predict their service life


Test method:

The UV aging test chamber usually consists of UV lamps, sample racks, temperature control systems, rain control systems, etc.

In the experiment, the material sample to be tested is placed on the sample rack, the UV lamp is turned on and the corresponding experimental parameters are set. The experimental environment is set, including light intensity, temperature, rain, etc., and the test requirements are set, such as test duration and cycle period. UV light is irradiated for a certain period of time. Finally, the weather resistance of the material is evaluated by observing the changes in the physical and chemical properties of the sample.

UV aging test chamberilluminance

The main wavelengths of the ultraviolet lamp are 297nm (UVB) and 365nm (UVA)

The range of UV light intensity is 100uW/cm2~160uW/cm2 (UVB) and 1050uW/cm2~1700uW/cm2 (UVA).

The light intensity on the surface of the specimen is ≤ 10.0%.


UV aging UV lamp type

UVA-340 lamp tube

It can simulate short wave ultraviolet light in sunlight, i.e. the wavelength range from 365nm to the cut-off point of sunlight 295nm, mainly used for light aging tests of outdoor products.

UVB-313 lamp tube

The emitted shortwave ultraviolet light is stronger than the solar ultraviolet light that usually shines on the Earth's surface, thereby accelerating material aging. However, the lamp may cause impractical damage to certain materials. UVB-313 lamps are mainly used for quality control and research and development, or for testing materials with strong weather resistance.

UVA-351 lamp tube

UVA-351 lamps are mainly used to simulate the effect of sunlight passing through window glass indoors. Testing indoor materials is very useful.


Temperature and humidity:

Temperature: Dark cycle temperature uniformity under no-load condition ≤ 2.0 ℃.

Humidity: The uniformity of dark cycle humidity under no-load conditions is ≤ 3.0%.


Studio circulating wind speed:0.25m/s~1.5m/s。


Sample rack:Load bearing sample holder, adjustable in distance from the light source, with dimensions of approximately 940 × 350mm and an area equidistant from the light source.
