The national standard drafted by Jinan Saicheng has been officially released

Recently, the national standard GB/T 43019.5-2023 "Determination of Water Vapor Transmittance of Plastic Film and Thin Film Part 5: Pressure Sensor Method" was drafted by Jinan Saicheng Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. as the first drafting unit, under the jurisdiction of TC48 (National Technical Committee for Standardization of Plastic Products), and implemented by TC48SC1 (Plastic Daily Necessities Branch of National Technical Committee for Standardization of Plastic Products). It was approved for publication on September 7, 2023 and will be officially implemented on April 1, 2024.

GB/T 43019.5-2023 "Determination of Water Vapor Transmission Rate of Plastic Film and Thin Film Part 5: Pressure Sensor Method" is a recommended national standard that specifies the method of using pressure sensor method to determine the water vapor transmission rate of plastic film and thin film, composite plastic film and thin film. This standard enables rapid testing of wide range water vapor permeability and forms a comprehensive system with existing testing methods, providing selectivity and comparability for evaluating the moisture permeability performance of plastic films and sheets with different characteristics under different application conditions.

The successful release of this standard will further enrich the types of methods for barrier testing standards in China, better meet the rapid development needs of the packaging industry, and provide important technical support for continuously optimizing testing technology and meeting new industry development needs.
