Guarding the Mother River, we are in action.

The sky is clear and the wind is gentle, with spring tides surging on both sides of the Yellow River. On the morning of March 11th, the Luoyang Municipal Committee of China Democratic Construction came to China Democratic Construction's "Yellow River Wetland Protection Public Welfare Forest" to plant green plants and paint a beautiful picture of ecological protection in the Yellow River Basin. More than 150 people, including Zhang Yingzheng, the full-time vice chairman of the Luoyang Municipal Committee of the China Democratic Construction Association, Zhao Li and Zhang Yanan, vice chairmen of the Luoyang Municipal Committee of the China Democratic Construction Association, and members of various branches, participated in the event. Comrades from the United Front Work Department were also invited to participate in the event. Pang Mingxin and Xu Yan, Deputy Ministers of the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee, Li Zun'an, Gao Xiao, and Han Lianxin, Leaders of the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee, Zhang Yanfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Mengjin District Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, Xu Mingyue, Director of the Enterprise Working Committee of the China Democratic Construction Association, and Xu Pengwen, Deputy Director, all participated in the event together.

The members who participated in the event worked in pairs of two or groups of three, using shovels to dig and soil, cultivating and watering the soil, cooperating with each other meticulously, and the event site was bustling with activity. In the morning, more than 100 trees were planted, including Sophora japonica, Acer truncatum, Ginkgo biloba, Ligustrum lucidum, and Platycodon grandiflorus. Looking around, a brand new landscape appeared on the banks of the Yellow River.

Zhang Yanan mentioned that the "Embracing the Mother River" public welfare tree planting activity for ecological protection in the Yellow River Basin is a continuation of the fine tradition of "voluntary tree planting and greening of homes" by the Municipal Party Committee of the China Democratic Construction Association. It is a vivid interpretation of China Democratic Construction Association's practice of the concept that green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver, actively integrating into the national strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. I hope that members of the China Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong can uplift their spirits, actively fulfill their duties, and drive more forces to actively join the Yellow River wetland protection team, contributing to the protection of the mother river, promoting the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, and taking root!

The event also held the unveiling ceremony of the "Civil Construction Science Popularization Corridor" and awarded honorary certificates to the entrepreneurs who participated in the donation.

Xu Pengwen, the legal representative of Wolford (Shanghai) Industrial Co., Ltd., as a member of the China Democratic Construction Corporation, has also contributed to the ecological protection of the Mengjin Yellow River Wetland National Nature Reserve, empowering green development and protecting the green mountains and rivers of our country.
