Bipu participates in the biomethane industry partnership

BPC has been selected as a member of the third working group of BIP

BPC Instruments AB (BPC) announced that the company has been selected as a member of the third working group of the Biomethane Industry Partnership (BIP).The goal of this partnership is to support the achievement of the European Commission's goal of producing and using 35 billion cubic meters of sustainable biomethane annually by 2030, as set in early 2022, and to create prerequisites for further enhancing its biomethane potential by 2050.

The following five working groups have been established:

Working Group 1: National Biomethane Targets, Strategies, and Policies

Working Group 2: Accelerating the Development of Biomethane Projects

Working Group 3: Sustainable Potential of Innovative Biomass Resources

Working Group 4: Cost effectiveness of Biomethane Production and Grid Connection

Working Group 5: Research, Development, and Innovation Needs

In the coming years, Europe needs to vigorously collect sustainable biomass raw materials to provide raw materials for more biomethane production equipment. BPC has been selected as a member of the third working group, which aims to identify the potential of innovative biomass resources across the EU and explore how to use them for biomethane production, combined with the utilization of biogas residue as a bio fertilizer, to achieve more circular agriculture.
