In the amplification and pilot experiments of double-layer glass reactors, precise control of parameters, optimization of equipment configuration, and strengthening of safety measures are required to ensure the reliability and reproducibility of the experiments. The specific solution is as follows:
1、 Accurate parameter control
Temperature control: The interlayer design of the double-layer glass reactor allows for the introduction of different cold and heat sources (such as frozen liquid, hot water, or hot oil) to achieve cyclic heating or cooling of the reaction. In the amplification experiment, it is necessary to adjust the temperature control medium according to the reaction scale (such as low-temperature ice alcohol bath, high-temperature oil bath), and ensure that the temperature fluctuation is within ± 1 ℃ through high-precision temperature sensors and PID controllers to avoid local overheating or reaction failure.
Mixing optimization: To address the issue of uneven mixing that may occur after scaling up, it is necessary to adjust the mixing speed and blade type (such as propeller or turbine) according to the viscosity of the reactants. For example, high viscosity systems can use low-speed, large blade designs to ensure mixing uniformity.
Vacuum and pressure management: Using sanitary grade electric regulating valves and high-precision dual channel PID controllers, combined with capacitive vacuum gauges, automatic control of vacuum degree over the full range (1Pa~0.1MPa) and micro positive pressure is achieved. Ensure pressure stability through dynamic balance method (fixed intake/exhaust valve opening) to avoid reaction failure caused by pressure fluctuations.
2、 Equipment configuration optimization
Capacity adaptation: Select 50-150L double-layer glass reaction vessels according to the pilot scale, and customize larger volumes for special needs. The equipment needs to be equipped with stainless steel support frames and universal wheels to ensure stable placement and avoid shaking that may cause safety accidents.
Improvement of feeding method: In response to the problems of small feeding ports and difficult feeding, it is recommended to add materials in batches, with a single feeding amount not exceeding 2/3 of the kettle volume, to prevent overflow or uncontrolled reaction.
3、 Safety and efficiency improvement
Thermal insulation: Wrap insulation materials around the kettle body and liquid pipeline to reduce energy loss during high or low temperature experiments and improve temperature control efficiency.
Airtightness inspection: Before the experiment, blow the device with nitrogen and apply soapy water to check the sealing of the interface to ensure no leakage before proceeding with the reaction.
Emergency plan: Develop emergency shutdown device operation procedures, equip emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers and eye wash stations, and regularly organize safety drills.
