Double layer glass reaction kettle is an experimental equipment widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, biological, materials and other fields. Its working principle and structure have unique advantages.
Working principle: The double-layer glass reactor achieves temperature control through a double-layer glass structure. The outer jacket can be filled with a heat transfer medium (such as heat transfer oil, hot water) or a cooling medium (such as cold water, low-temperature ethanol solution), and the temperature of the inner reaction material can be stabilized within the range of -80 ℃ to+250 ℃ by circulating heating or cooling. The stirring motor drives the stirring shaft to rotate, driving the stirring blade to stir in the inner kettle, allowing the reactants to fully contact, improving reaction efficiency, and avoiding local overheating or precipitation. At the same time, the equipment can react in a closed system to prevent solvent evaporation or external pollution, and can be evacuated or filled with inert gases (such as nitrogen and argon) for vacuum distillation or oxidation prevention. When used in conjunction with a condenser, volatile solvents can be condensed and refluxed to reduce losses.
Structural characteristics:
Kettle body: Made of high borosilicate glass material, it has good chemical stability and high temperature resistance, and can withstand corrosion from most acidic and alkaline media. The kettle body is a double-layer structure, with the inner layer used to accommodate the reactants and the outer jacket used to introduce heating or cooling media.
Mixing system: composed of mixing blades, mixing motors, and transmission devices. There are various types of agitator blades (such as anchor, paddle, and propeller), and the appropriate type can be selected according to the viscosity and mixing requirements of the reactants. The speed of the mixing motor can be adjusted by the control system to ensure thorough mixing of the reactants.
Sealing system: used to ensure a sealed environment inside the kettle body, preventing material leakage or the entry of external air and impurities during the reaction process. The sealing part mainly includes the connection between the mixing shaft and the top of the kettle body, usually using mechanical sealing or packing sealing methods.
