High-pressure homogenizerIf there is a leak during operation, it not only affects the stability of the process, but may also pose a safety hazard. Leakage often occurs in high-pressure sealing areas, including common locations such as plunger seals, homogenization valve interfaces, pipeline joints, and pressure gauge connection ports.
The plunger seal leakage is the most typical. It is usually caused by the wear of sealing ring, installation deflection or insufficient lubrication. During diagnosis, it can be observed whether the leakage intensifies with increasing pressure. Repair steps: Stop the machine to relieve pressure → Disassemble the plunger assembly → Check if the sealing ring is cracked, hardened, or deformed → Replace the same specification fluororubber or PEEK seal → Apply high-pressure grease again and install according to the torque requirements.
Homogenization valve interface leakage is often caused by aging sealing gaskets or loose threads. Especially after frequent disassembly and cleaning, metal gaskets are prone to plastic deformation. It is recommended to replace the copper or graphite composite gasket after each maintenance and use a torque wrench to tighten it according to the manufacturer's specified torque.
Dripping at quick connect fittings or clamp connections is often caused by insufficient compression of the O-ring or scratches on the grooves. You can try tightening it first. If it doesn't work, replace the O-ring and check if the inner wall of the joint is scratched by particles.

Preventive measures include: regularly checking the condition of seals (recommended every 500 hours), using clean and particle free media, avoiding dry operation, and maintaining normal lubrication system. In addition, installing leak sensors can achieve early warning. It is worth noting that any maintenance must be carried out after the system has been fully depressurized and powered off, and pressure operation is strictly prohibited.
