1、 Daily cleaning operations
Basic cleaning (non polluting scenario): Immediately after use, dip a dust-free cloth in 75% medical alcohol, wipe the tip, body, and joints of the forceps, and focus on removing residual dust, fibers, or trace samples to avoid residue adhesion after drying.
Pollutant cleaning (such as viscous samples, corrosive liquids): Soak the tweezers in a neutral cleaning solution for 1-2 minutes, gently brush the tip gap with a soft bristled brush, rinse with deionized water, and finally wipe with alcohol for disinfection and air drying.
Prohibited cleaning methods: Do not use hard objects such as steel wire balls or sandpaper to scratch the tip, avoid using strong acid and alkali cleaning agents, and prevent damage to the surface coating or tip accuracy of the tweezers.
2、 Core maintenance points
Joint lubrication: Every 2-3 weeks (or once a week when used frequently), apply 1-2 drops of specialized precision instrument lubricating oil to the joint of the forceps, gently open and close several times to ensure even distribution of lubricating oil and reduce joint wear.
Accuracy check: After each cleaning, close the tip of the tweezers and observe whether they are completely attached without obvious gaps; If the tip is found to be misaligned or deformed, it should be promptly sent to a professional organization for calibration and cannot be adjusted by oneself.
Avoid excessive use: Choose the appropriate operation according to the specifications of the tweezers (such as tip thickness and load-bearing range). Do not use fine tweezers to pick up heavy objects to prevent tip bending or deformation of the forceps body.
3、 Storage and protection
Special storage: After use, place the tweezers in a specialized box or drawer with a sponge pad to avoid collision with other tools; If not used for a long time, a thin layer of anti rust oil should be applied to the surface, wrapped in clean filter paper, and stored.
Environmental control: The storage environment should be kept dry and ventilated, avoiding high temperatures (>40 ℃), high humidity (relative humidity>60%), or direct sunlight to prevent tweezers from rusting or plastic parts from aging.
