Carbon black oil absorption meterIt is a device used for structural testing of powder materials, including carbon black, conductive carbon black, graphite (negative electrode material), silica (white carbon black), and oil absorption testing equipment for other powder materials.

The torque value can reach 15Nm (optional 20Nm)

Operation process:
Sample preparation:
Weigh a standard quality carbon black sample (usually 1-2g), ensuring that the sample is dry and free of clumps.
Pour the sample into the instrument mixing chamber and start the mixer (recommended speed 50-100 min ⁻¹) to evenly disperse the sample.
Titration test:
Slowly add dibutyl phthalate (DBP) or paraffin oil to the sample using a high-precision burette (± 0.05ml accuracy).
The instrument monitors torque changes in real-time through torque sensors, and the software automatically identifies three-phase transitions (free flowing phase → condensed phase → terminating phase).
Data recording:
When the torque suddenly increases (condensate formation), the software automatically stops titration and calculates the oil absorption value (unit: ml/100g).
The results can be directly exported and meet the requirements of standards such as ASTM D2414.
Maintenance points:
Daily cleaning:
After each test, the mixing chamber, blades, and burette should be cleaned with anhydrous ethanol to prevent residual carbon black from affecting accuracy.
Regularly check the calibration status of the torque sensor to avoid data drift caused by oil contamination.
Regular calibration:
It is recommended to use standard samples every 3 months to verify the accuracy of the instrument. If the error exceeds ± 2%, recalibration is required.
Check the wear of the variable frequency drive unit and blades, and replace components if necessary.
