Structural characteristics and functions of electric gas dedicated valves for mining
Date: 2025-11-11Read: 20
Mining electric gas dedicated valve is an electric control device specifically used in coal mines or other gas containing mines, mainly used to regulate and control the flow and discharge of gas in the mine to ensure safe production. Gas is a high-risk gas in coal mines, and once its concentration reaches a certain range, it is highly likely to cause explosion accidents. Usually installed on gas drainage pipelines, precise adjustment of gas flow is achieved through remote electric control. In modern mine automation management, it is closely integrated with gas monitoring systems, ventilation systems, emission systems, and interlocking control systems to achieve safe monitoring and emergency control of mine gas.

Mining electric gas special valveWorking principle:
1. Electrical signal control: The valve is equipped with an electric actuator that receives electrical signals from the control center or PLC system. According to the control signal, the actuator drives the valve stem or valve plate to rotate or displace, thereby changing the opening of the valve port.
2. Flow regulation: By adjusting the valve opening to change the fluid resistance in the gas pipeline, precise control of gas flow can be achieved. For high concentration gas areas, valves can be quickly closed to prevent large gas leaks.
3. Automatic protection function: It usually has overload, overcurrent, and abnormal opening and closing detection functions. When the gas flow rate or pressure exceeds the set value, the valve can automatically switch to a safe state to avoid equipment damage or accidents.
Structural characteristics:
1. Explosion proof design: The valve body and electric actuator are both made of explosion-proof materials and structures, ensuring that they will not explode due to electric sparks or mechanical friction in high concentration gas environments.
2. Corrosion resistance: Mine gas may contain corrosive gases such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. Valve body materials are generally made of carbon steel, alloy steel, or surface anti-corrosion treatment to extend their service life.
3. Reliable sealing: In order to avoid gas leakage, valve seals are usually made of materials that are resistant to high pressure, high temperature, and corrosion, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or rubber seals, to ensure long-term sealing reliability.
4. Compact structure and easy installation: Due to limited mine space, valve designs are usually inclined towards compact types, which facilitate installation, maintenance, and replacement on pipelines.
5. Intelligent control interface: Generally equipped with digital interfaces, it can be linked with the mine intelligent monitoring system and PLC control system to achieve remote monitoring and automation control.
Application scenarios of electric gas dedicated valves for mining:
1. Gas emission system: installed on the gas drainage pipeline, controlled by valves to ensure that the gas concentration in the mine is within a safe range.
2. Ventilation system: In the mine ventilation ducts, the air volume is automatically adjusted based on gas monitoring data to prevent local gas from exceeding the standard.
3. Safety isolation: In emergency situations in mines, valves can be quickly closed to isolate high concentration gas areas and prevent gas diffusion and explosion accidents.
4. Intelligent monitoring and linkage: It is linked with the mine automation monitoring system to automatically open and close or adjust valves when gas concentration is abnormal, reducing manual intervention and accident risks.
