The cold chain monitoring system monitors the temperature and humidity of the environment in real time to ensure uninterrupted operation throughout the entire process. In a complex and ever-changing logistics environment, problems such as data loss, delayed alarms, and abnormal readings may occur. Once a malfunction occurs, it may result in the entire batch of goods being scrapped. Mastering the response strategies for common faults in cold chain monitoring systems is the key to building a strong cold chain defense line.

Problem 1: Data cannot be uploaded or the platform has no signal
This is a common communication malfunction. First, check the network connection status: for GPRS/4G devices, confirm whether the SIM card is overdue, loose, or has weak signal (especially in tunnels and underground garages); Try restarting the device or changing the location to enhance the signal. For Bluetooth/Wi Fi devices, confirm if the receiving gateway is online and pairing is normal. If it is long-distance transmission such as LoRa, check the coverage area of the base station. Switch to backup communication mode or use offline recording function when necessary.
Problem 2: Abnormal high or low temperature readings
It may be due to sensor malfunction or environmental interference. Check if the probe is wrapped in frost or directly exposed to cold or heat sources (such as car doors, air conditioning vents), and place it in a representative position at the center of the cargo. Confirm if the sensor has water ingress, damage, or poor contact. By comparing the standard thermometer for on-site verification, if the deviation is too large, the sensor needs to be replaced. Note that insufficient battery power may also cause data drift.
Problem 3: Alarm not triggered or delayed alarm
The risk of alarm failure is high. Check whether the system alarm threshold setting is correct (such as 2-8 ℃) and whether the upper and lower limits are reasonable; Confirm whether the alarm mode (SMS, APP push, sound and light) is enabled and whether the receiving number/account is correct. Test whether the alarm function responds normally. If it is a platform alarm, check the server status and user permissions. Regularly conduct alarm simulation tests to ensure the effectiveness of the mechanism.
Problem 4: Power failure or insufficient battery life of the device
Battery powered equipment is prone to shutting down due to running out of battery power. Choose the appropriate battery capacity based on the transportation time to avoid expired use. Enable low-power mode and set the data upload frequency reasonably (such as adjusting from 1 minute to 5 minutes). Charge and check the battery health promptly after receiving the goods. For fixed monitoring points, ensure that the power adapter is working properly.
