The temperature and humidity collector can record temperature and humidity data in real-time and continuously, providing scientific basis for environmental control, quality traceability, and risk warning. It is compact and precise, but has high requirements for installation location, usage environment, and operating standards. Mastering the correct usage of temperature and humidity collectors is the key to ensuring the authenticity, reliability, and effectiveness of data.

1、 Preparation before use
Check the equipment status:
Confirm that the casing is intact and the sensor probe is unobstructed or contaminated;
Check the battery level and replace it promptly when there is a low battery prompt to avoid data interruption.
Power on self-test:
Press and hold the power button to start, observe if the screen is displaying normally and if the indicator light is flashing;
Let it stand for 1-2 minutes, wait for the sensor to stabilize before setting it up.
Parameter settings:
Set sampling intervals (such as 1 minute, 10 minutes, 1 hour) to balance data volume and battery life according to monitoring needs;
Set the temperature and humidity alarm threshold (such as temperature>25 ℃, humidity<40% RH), and enable the sound and light or SMS alarm function (if supported);
Calibrate time to ensure accurate data timestamp.
2、 Reasonable installation
Location selection:
Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources (such as heaters, equipment vents), or cold air blowing directly;
Stay away from doors, windows, and ventilation openings to prevent instantaneous airflow interference;
The installation height should be close to the monitored object (such as the middle of the drug shelf or the center of the cold chain carriage).
Installation method:
Wall mounted: fixed with screws or double-sided tape to ensure stability;
Placement type: placed on a flat surface to avoid tipping over;
External probe type: Place the sensor probe in the target area, and the host can be placed in a safe location.
Multi point deployment:
Large spaces (such as warehouses and cold storage facilities) should be arranged in multiple locations, with temperature and humidity distribution maps drawn to identify hotspots and blind spots.
3、 Data collection and monitoring
Real time monitoring:
For models with screens, regularly check the current values;
For wireless models, remote monitoring can be achieved through mobile apps or cloud platforms.
Alarm response:
When the temperature and humidity exceed the limit and the equipment emits sound and light or remote alarm, the environment should be checked immediately and control measures should be taken;
Record alarm events and processing procedures to form a closed-loop management.
Avoid interference:
Do not touch the sensor probe with your hands, as body temperature and moisture can affect the reading;
Avoid using in high dust and highly corrosive environments, and install protective covers (with ventilation holes) if necessary.
4、 Data reading and exporting
Wired reading:
Connect the computer using USB or RS485 cable and export data through dedicated software;
Ensure that the driver is installed.
Wireless transmission:
Confirm that Wi Fi, LoRa, or NB IoT signals are stable and the device is online;
Regularly synchronize cloud data to prevent local storage overflow.
Data format:
Export CSV or PDF format reports for easy analysis and archiving;
Devices that support GxP compliance can generate audit trail logs.
