The temperature and humidity monitoring system is widely used in places with strict environmental conditions such as medicine, food, warehousing, laboratories, data centers, and clean workshops. It is used for real-time monitoring, recording, and alarming of temperature and humidity changes to ensure product quality and process stability. The temperature and humidity monitoring system usually consists of temperature and humidity sensors, data collectors, transmission modules (wired/wireless), monitoring hosts, and management software. To ensure its long-term stable operation and accurate and reliable data, it is necessary to develop and implement a scientific regular maintenance plan.

1、 Daily inspection (daily or weekly)
Running status confirmation: Check if the system host, collector, and sensors are powered on normally, if the indicator lights are displaying properly, and if there are any alarm prompts.
Data accuracy verification: Use management software to check whether the data from each monitoring point is within a reasonable range, whether there are abnormal fluctuations or long-term stability (possibly due to sensor failure).
Alarm function test: Simulate the situation of exceeding the limit, verify whether the sound and light alarm, SMS or email notification are triggered in a timely manner.
2、 Monthly maintenance
Cleaning the sensor probe: Use a soft dry cloth or a soft bristled brush to gently wipe the temperature and humidity sensor probe, removing dust, oil stains, or condensation to prevent affecting the sensing accuracy. Avoid using alcohol or chemical solvents to wipe directly.
Check installation environment: Confirm that the sensor is not obstructed, not close to heat sources (such as air conditioning vents, heating equipment), or in damp areas (such as near water pipes) to avoid measurement deviation.
Line and connection inspection: Check whether the cables and connectors of the wired system are loose, damaged, or damp; Check whether the signal strength of the wireless system is stable.
3、 Quarterly maintenance
System calibration: Use calibrated standard temperature and humidity meters (such as constant temperature and humidity chambers) to compare key monitoring points. If the deviation exceeds ± 0.5 ℃ or ± 3% RH, system calibration or sensor replacement should be performed.
Data backup: Regularly export historical data and archive it to prevent data loss due to system failures.
Software update: Check if the monitoring software has a new version and upgrade it in a timely manner to fix vulnerabilities and improve performance.
4、 Deep maintenance every six months or annually
Battery check (wireless system): Replace the built-in battery of the wireless sensor or collector to prevent data interruption due to insufficient power.
Power and lightning protection inspection: Check the working status of the power adapter, UPS, and lightning protection module to ensure stable power supply and effective lightning protection.
Overall system performance evaluation: Test data collection, transmission, storage, and alarm functions, evaluate system response speed and stability.
