The ceramic density meter adopts structural optimization measures such as a flip free measuring frame, waterproof body film, and durable PC material sink, which simplifies the operation process and extends the equipment life. Especially the stainless steel suspension device equipped ensures the stability of sample suspension during the testing process, avoiding reading deviation caused by shaking; Users can flexibly choose testing media (such as water, silicone oil, etc.) based on the physical properties of different materials, and achieve personalized configuration by freely setting the saturation medium density parameter. This flexibility makes the instrument suitable for the detection needs of various special ceramic materials.
The built-in automated testing program can automatically complete the entire measurement cycle, from data collection to result output, without the need for manual intervention. Not only does it improve work efficiency, but it also ensures a high degree of consistency in repeated experiments through standardized processes; In addition to conventional density measurement, some models also support simultaneous measurement of multiple indicators such as visual density, bulk density, and wet density, and can automatically calculate derived parameters such as total porosity and effective porosity. Combined with the design of a large capacity transparent sink, the operation process is intuitive and controllable, further enhancing the convenience of scientific research and production.
The measurement steps of ceramic density meter:
1. Preparation work
-Calibration instrument: Before use, it is necessary to ensure that the ceramic density meter has been correctly calibrated to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.
-Choose the appropriate liquid: Based on the characteristics and requirements of the tested ceramic, select the appropriate displacement medium (such as water, silicone oil, etc.). Note that the temperature of the liquid may affect its structure and density, thereby affecting the test results, so it is important to control the temperature of the liquid.
2. Measure the weight in the air
-Place the entire ceramic green body on a tray and record its weight after the display stabilizes. This data is one of the foundations for subsequent density calculations.
3. Measure buoyancy or weight in liquids
-Place the ceramic sample into a selected liquid, such as silicone oil. After the values stabilize, record the relevant values displayed on the screen. This process is based on Archimedes' principle of buoyancy, which states that the buoyancy experienced by an object in a liquid is equal to the weight of the liquid it displaced. Through this method, information related to the volume of the sample can be obtained.
4. Calculate density
-Calculate the density value of ceramics based on the formula 'actual density=ceramic sample mass/ceramic sample volume'. Among them, quality can be converted from weight measured in air, while volume can be derived from measurement data in liquid.
