Basic knowledge of ceramic density meter, one piece to complete
Date: 2025-09-23Read: 0
The core working mechanism of ceramic densitometers originates from Archimedes' discovery of the law of buoyancy, which states that the buoyancy experienced by an object in a liquid is equal to the weight of the liquid displaced by it. During the specific operation, the instrument will immerse the sample to be tested in a specific medium (such as water or other suitable liquid), and accurately capture the changes in liquid mass caused by sample displacement through sensors; After the sample is placed in a container filled with liquid, the instrument automatically records the volume or weight data of the discharged liquid. By combining the pre measured dry weight of the sample, the system can calculate the actual density value of the sample. This process does not require complex mathematical deduction, and the device's built-in program quickly completes the operation and displays the results; Not only can it measure basic density indicators, but it can also be extended to complex functions such as porosity analysis and water absorption testing.
Precautions for using ceramic density meter:
1. Instrument calibration and operating procedures
-Ensure that the instrument has been calibrated correctly before use, and that the operating procedures are detailed and clear. Strictly follow the prescribed procedures to avoid measurement errors caused by misoperation.
-During the operation, attention should be paid to avoiding collisions, falls, and external interference, such as electronic equipment, and maintaining operating standards to ensure the accuracy of measurement results.
2. Sample processing and placement
-For porous or complex shaped materials, special attention should be paid to eliminating the influence of bubbles. You can use a windproof glass cover to prevent the flowing air from blowing away the ceramic powder, and after placing the mesh ball in water, use a dropper to suck away the bubbles on the ceramic powder to avoid errors caused by bubbles.
-Before placing ceramic samples, the container should be cleaned thoroughly to prevent impurities from entering and affecting the measurement results.
3. Environmental factor control
-Pay attention to the environmental conditions in the laboratory, such as temperature, humidity, etc., as these factors may affect the measurement results. Try to maintain environmental stability and reduce errors caused by environmental fluctuations.
4. Recording and maintenance
-After each use, the usage and maintenance of the ceramic density meter should be recorded, including measurement time, sample information, measurement results, instrument status, etc., for traceability and management.
-Regularly inspect and maintain the instruments, promptly identify and solve problems, and extend the service life of the instruments.
