The denitrification market is poised to take off ——Source from China Electric Power News Network The domestic denitrification market has not yet been launched on a large scale. According to the prediction of the Environmental Protection Bureau, the total investment scale of the domestic denitrification market during the 12th Five Year Plan period can reach 50 billion yuan. The upcoming strictest "Air Pollution Emission Standards for Thermal Power Plants" at the end of the year will become a catalyst for the industry's turning point. The draft for the second round of soliciting opinions on the new standard stipulates that the emission standard for NOX in coal-fired power plants with newly built or existing denitrification devices and reserved denitrification sites will be adjusted to 100mg/m3; The active coal-fired power plants before the end of 2003 were set at 200mg/m3 due to the lack of reserved denitrification sites and long operating years of the units; Coal fired power plants in key areas shall implement 100mg/m3. The current technology routes for denitrification in China mainly include low nitrogen combustion technology at the front end and catalytic reduction technology for flue gas at the back end. Low nitrogen combustion at the front end is a domestically developed denitrification technology with independent intellectual property rights. It mainly uses methods such as furnace air staged combustion, fuel staged combustion, and flue gas recirculation to reduce NOX generated during coal powder combustion. The backend denitrification technology mainly includes selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and non selective reduction catalytic reduction (SNCR). Among them, SCR is the most mature and widely used technology. Compared with the two technologies, front-end denitrification has a significant cost advantage due to the absence of catalysts, but it is difficult to achieve NOX emission standards solely through front-end denitrification. Overall, the two technologies are not exclusive, and each has its own advantages and applicability, with its own development space. If catalysts can break free from the dependence on imports and achieve localization in the future, operating costs will be significantly reduced, and SCR technology will become more vibrant. In addition, the introduction of the denitrification subsidy electricity price policy will also open up the denitrification franchise market. At present, the market is expected to adopt a tiered subsidy method, with prices possibly ranging from 0.8 to 1.2 cents.
