The 26th Summer Universiade will open here tomorrow, and the organizing committee held a press conference today to introduce the relevant situation of this Universiade.

This year's Universiade has achieved multiple historical firsts, including 24 major events and 306 medals. The scale of this competition is also the largest in history. At present, we have received registration applications from 152 delegations and 11901 people, with 331 media organizations registering for interviews and a total of 4956 journalists.

Low carbon and environmentally friendly "is a major highlight of this year's Universiade. The Universiade Center has adopted 16 energy-saving and emission reduction technologies, including solar thermal photovoltaics and recycled water. There are 12 venues built in the school city and 14 venues built outside the special zone, which has driven the integrated development of both inside and outside the special zone.

The spokesperson of the organizing committee stated that the competition should minimize disturbance to the public. Shenzhen has not adopted the practice of restricting vehicles from driving on odd or even numbers, but has launched the "Green Ribbon Action". Currently, more than 400000 vehicles have voluntarily declared to stop driving, of which 92% are private cars.

The opening ceremony of this World University Games did not set off fireworks or invite celebrities. The closing ceremony broke tradition and was held at the "Window of the World" tourist attraction in Shenzhen, creating a grand celebration and carnival. In the "Welcoming the Universiade and National Greening Campaign", Shenzhen has reached 824 parks of various types, becoming the city with the largest number of parks in the country and deserving of the title of "City of Parks".
