  96 hole positive pressure extraction deviceIt is a high-throughput sample pretreatment device widely used in fields such as life sciences, molecular biology, drug development, and clinical testing. It is mainly used for rapid and efficient extraction and purification of biomolecules such as nucleic acids, proteins, and metabolites. This device is based on the principle of positive pressure drive, which applies controllable positive pressure gas (usually clean compressed air or nitrogen) to the upper part of a 96 well deep hole plate or filter plate to uniformly and synchronously push the liquid sample through the packing in the solid phase extraction column (SPE column) or centrifuge column, thereby achieving the enrichment, purification or desalination of the target component.
This device typically consists of a pressure control system, gas distribution module, adapter bracket, and operating interface. It is compatible with standard 96 well microplate specifications and supports batch processing of up to 96 samples, significantly improving experimental efficiency and reducing human error. Its core advantage lies in the adjustable pressure (generally ranging from 0-15 psi or higher), ensuring that samples with different viscosities or complex matrices can obtain stable flow rates, avoiding the problems of time-consuming and uneven flow rates in traditional gravity methods, and overcoming the disadvantages of strong equipment dependence and limited flux in centrifugal methods.
  96 hole positive pressure extraction deviceMaintenance and upkeep methods:
1、 Daily cleaning and maintenance
Shell and operation panel
Gently wipe the surface of the casing with warm water and a soft cloth, avoiding the use of organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone to prevent corrosion.
The operation panel should be regularly wiped with a soft cloth to prevent dust or liquid from infiltrating and affecting the sensitivity of the buttons.
Internal component cleaning
Air system: Regularly check whether the air connection is loose or leaking, use compressed air to blow the air interface to avoid residue blockage.
Pressure plate and sealing gasket: Clean the surface of the pressure plate to ensure that there are no sample residues or scratches; Check whether the sealing gasket is aging or deformed, and replace it if necessary.
Collection plate and extraction plate: After each use, rinse the collection plate and extraction plate with deionized water to avoid cross contamination. If processing high viscosity samples, specialized solvents (such as methanol) should be used for soaking and cleaning.
2、 Component inspection and replacement
Flatness of pressure plate
Regularly check the flatness of the movable pressure plate to ensure a height error of ≤ ± 0.1mm. If the pressure plate is deformed, contact the manufacturer for replacement to ensure uniform pressure between the holes.
Sealing gasket and O-ring
Check whether the sealing gasket and O-ring are aged or damaged, especially the sealing components at the gas path interface. Aging seals may cause air leakage, affecting extraction efficiency.
Gas flow regulator
Regularly calibrate the gas flow regulator to ensure stable pressure output. If the regulator is stuck or unable to adjust accurately, a new part needs to be replaced.
3、 Gas source management
Gas source quality
Use filtered, dehydrated air or nitrogen as the gas source to prevent organic solvents or moisture from infiltrating the interior of the instrument and corroding the gas path or sensor.
Regularly check whether the air source pressure is stable and ensure that the external working air source pressure is within the range of 0.35-0.7Mpa.
Air path maintenance
When not in use for a long time, close the main valve of the gas source and exhaust any residual gas in the air circuit to prevent pipeline aging or blockage.
If there is liquid accumulation in the gas path, the gas-liquid separator should be cleaned in a timely manner to prevent the solution from entering the fluorescent device or other sensitive components.
4、 Storage environment requirements
Short term storage
Store the instrument in a dry and cool environment, away from direct sunlight or heat sources, to prevent plastic parts from aging and deforming.
Cover the instrument with a dust cover to reduce dust accumulation.
Long term storage
When not in use for a long time, turn on the machine at least once a month and run it for more than 30 minutes each time to prevent internal components from getting damp or sticking.
Regularly check the humidity of the storage environment (recommended 10% to 90%). If the humidity is too high, a desiccant should be used for dehumidification.
5、 Regular calibration and functional testing
pressure calibration
Regularly calibrate the pressure output of the instrument using a standard pressure gauge to ensure a uniformity of air pressure between the holes of ≤± 10%. If the calibration result exceeds the tolerance, it is necessary to contact the manufacturer for adjustment or repair.
Flow rate test
Test the consistency of flow rate between wells by processing standard samples (such as solutions containing known concentrations of analytes). If the flow rate fluctuates by more than ± 5%, it is necessary to check the status of the air circuit or pressure plate.
Safety function check
Test the safety functions of the instrument (such as anti pinch design, overvoltage protection, etc.) to ensure safe operation. If the safety function fails, it needs to be immediately stopped and repaired.
