The steady-state solar simulator adopts multi-channel mixing technology
Date: 2025-10-28Read: 1
A steady-state solar simulator can generate stable and continuous light sources, ensuring the accuracy of test results. This stability enables the simulator to provide consistent testing conditions over a long period of time, improving the reliability and repeatability of test results; By using multi-channel mixed light technology and combining LED chips of different wavelengths, the breakthrough of spectral matching deviation has been achieved, and the spectral characteristics of the sun outside the atmosphere have been more accurately simulated. Compared with the shortcomings of traditional xenon lamp light sources in AM1.5G standard spectral matching (insufficient ultraviolet band, excessive infrared band), there have been improvements.
Characterized by high efficiency and low energy consumption. As a new type of solid-state light source, LED can convert more electrical energy into light energy, reducing energy waste; The long lifespan of LED light sources means lower replacement frequency and maintenance costs, reducing the total cost of ownership for long-term use; Users can adjust parameters such as light intensity and spectral distribution as needed to meet the needs of different experiments and applications. For example, in photovoltaic cell efficiency testing, it can be conducted under standard test conditions (STC) to ensure the accuracy and comparability of data.

Measurement steps for steady-state solar simulator:
1. Preparation work
-Check the equipment: Ensure that all accessories (such as power cords, control panels, sample racks, etc.) are intact and in good working condition.
-Preparation of samples: Place the sample to be tested on the sample holder and ensure that it is securely fixed so as not to move or tilt during the testing process.
2. Device connection and startup
-Connect power supply: Insert the power cord into the power socket of the solar simulator and ensure that the other end is firmly plugged into the power socket. Check if the power connection is secure and ensure that the power switch is turned off.
-Start the device: Turn on the power switch and start. At this point, the device will start preheating and enter standby mode.
3. Set test parameters
-Using the control panel: Set the desired test parameters through the buttons and knobs on the control panel. These parameters may include light intensity, light source color temperature, radiation time, etc. Adjust these parameters to appropriate values according to experimental requirements.
-Adjust sample position: Ensure that the sample is located in the appropriate position below the light source so that it can receive simulated sunlight evenly. If necessary, the height or angle of the sample holder can be adjusted to achieve the best lighting effect.
4. Start testing
-Start lighting: After setting all parameters and confirming that the sample position is correct, start lighting. At this point, the device will output simulated sunlight according to the set parameters.
-Observation and recording: During the illumination process, pay attention to observing the changes in the sample and use appropriate instruments (such as radiometers) to detect and analyze the illumination effect. Record important data and information for subsequent analysis and processing.
5. End testing and equipment maintenance
-Stop lighting: Stop lighting after reaching the predetermined testing time or observing significant changes in the sample. Turn off the power switch and disconnect the power connection.
-Cleaning equipment: Use a clean cloth to wipe the surface and internal optical components of the equipment to remove dust and dirt. Keeping equipment clean is crucial for maintaining its performance and extending its lifespan.
-Maintenance and upkeep: Regularly maintain and upkeep the steady-state solar simulator. This includes replacing aging light sources, cleaning optical components such as mirrors and lenses, inspecting circuits and control systems, etc. Ensure that the equipment is always in good working condition.
