Where is the vacuum oscillation concentrator used for
Date: 2025-04-23Read: 24
A vacuum oscillation concentrator is a device used to improve sample concentration efficiency and uniformity through oscillation function in a vacuum environment.
The working principle of the vacuum oscillation concentrator is to lower the boiling point of the solvent in a vacuum environment, and accelerate the evaporation and concentration of the solvent through heating and oscillation functions
The vacuum oscillation concentrator combines vacuum evaporation and oscillation heating technology to achieve rapid evaporation at low temperatures by reducing the ambient pressure (vacuum pump action) to lower the boiling point of the solvent. At the same time, oscillation promotes uniform contact between the sample and heat, accelerating the concentration process. For example, milk has a boiling point of 100 ℃ under normal pressure, but in a vacuum environment, its boiling point can drop to 45-55 ℃ to avoid high temperature damage to thermosensitive components such as DNA and proteins.
Its main functions and features include:
Improving concentration efficiency: By using the oscillation function, the sample forms a vortex motion inside the container, increasing the contact area between the sample and the container wall, thereby accelerating solvent evaporation and shortening concentration time.
Prevent sample boiling: The shaking function evenly heats the sample, avoiding boiling caused by local overheating, reducing sample loss, and ensuring experimental safety.
Improve concentration uniformity: Shake to evenly distribute the sample in the container, avoid local uneven concentration, and improve the repeatability and reliability of concentration results.
Reduce sample residue: Shake to allow the sample to flow fully in the container, reduce residue, improve sample recovery rate, and reduce waste.
Adapt to multi sample processing: The oscillation function can process multiple samples simultaneously, ensuring uniform concentration of each sample, suitable for high-throughput experimental needs.
Suitable for viscous samples: For viscous samples, shaking can improve fluidity, prevent the sample from adhering to the container wall, and ensure the concentration effect of viscous samples.
Easy to operate: The oscillation function is usually integrated into the concentrator, which is easy to operate, does not require additional equipment, reduces experimental steps, and improves experimental efficiency.
