Metal element analyzer can accurately measure the content of various elements in metal materials
Date: 2025-07-22Read: 3
The metal element analyzer has high accuracy and can accurately measure the content of various elements in metal materials, providing reliable data support for scientific research, production, etc. The interference between various elements can be shielded by chemical reagents to ensure that the elements do not interfere with each other. The curve can be used for non-linear regression to ensure the accuracy of the detection results. There are many types of elements that can be detected, covering most common metal elements and some non-metallic elements, which can meet the needs of different industries for metal material composition analysis.
It usually has a high degree of automation, and operators only need to follow a certain operating process for sample processing and instrument operation to complete the analysis process, reducing the influence of human factors on the detection results and improving work efficiency. Compared with traditional chemical analysis methods, it can complete the analysis of samples in a shorter time, especially suitable for rapid detection of a large number of samples.
Measurement steps of metal element analyzer:
1. Preparation work:
-Check the instrument: Ensure that the elemental analyzer is in normal working condition, check whether the instrument power supply, gas source (if applicable), cooling water and other supporting equipment are complete, and ensure that all components of the instrument are connected properly.
-Sample preparation: Collect representative metal samples according to analysis requirements and perform appropriate processing such as cutting, grinding, polishing, etc. to meet the instrument's injection requirements. For some samples that need to be dissolved, it is necessary to choose a suitable solvent for dissolution and ensure that the solution is uniform and free of precipitation.
-Standard curve drawing: Prepare a series of standard solutions with known concentrations, measure their signal intensity or absorbance parameters according to the instrument operating procedures, and then draw a standard curve with concentration as the horizontal axis and corresponding measurement values as the vertical axis.
2. Instrument debugging:
-Power on preheating: According to the instructions in the instrument manual, turn on the instrument power and preheat it for a period of time to reach a stable working state. The preheating time of different types of metal element analyzers may vary.
-Parameter setting: Based on the type and content range of the metal element to be tested, set the relevant parameters of the instrument, such as wavelength, current, voltage, integration time, etc., to ensure that the instrument can accurately measure the target element.
-Calibration instrument: Use standard solution or standard substance to calibrate the instrument and check whether the measurement accuracy and precision of the instrument meet the requirements. If there is a deviation between the measured value of the instrument and the standard value, it needs to be adjusted and corrected according to the operating method of the instrument.

3. Sample measurement:
-Load sample: Place the prepared metal sample or sample solution into the instrument's injection system to ensure that the sample is loaded correctly and without leakage. For solid samples, special fixtures or sample tables may be required for fixation; For liquid samples, attention should be paid to controlling the injection volume and injection speed.
-Start measurement: Start the instrument for measurement, and the instrument will analyze and detect the elements in the sample according to the set parameters, and output the measurement results. During the measurement process, it is important to closely monitor the operational status of the instrument to ensure a smooth measurement process.
-Data recording: Timely record the measured data, including peak intensity, absorbance, concentration, and other information of elements. For data measured multiple times, the mean and standard deviation should be calculated to evaluate the reliability of the measurement results.
4. Data processing and analysis:
-Result calculation: Based on the measured data and standard curve, calculate the content of various metal elements in the sample. If the instrument has automatic calculation function, it can directly read the measurement results; Otherwise, manual calculation and conversion are required.
-Quality control: Quality control of measurement results, checking for the presence of outliers or suspicious data. The accuracy and reliability of the measurement results can be verified through methods such as parallel sample measurement and spiked recovery experiments.
-Report preparation: Organize the measurement results into a report format, including sample information, measurement conditions, measurement results, quality control situation, etc., for subsequent analysis and research.
5. Shutdown and Cleaning:
-Shutdown operation: After the measurement is completed, turn off the instrument's power supply, gas source (if applicable), and supporting facilities such as cooling water according to the instrument's operating procedures. During the shutdown process, it is important to follow the correct sequence of operations to avoid damaging the instrument.
-Cleaning the instrument: Clean the injection system, combustion chamber, detector and other components of the instrument, remove residual samples and impurities, and maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the instrument. At the same time, regular maintenance and upkeep of the instrument should be carried out, such as replacing the filter element, cleaning the nozzle, checking the circuit, etc., to extend the service life of the instrument.
