Chemical reprogramming is a new generation of human pluripotent stem cell preparation technology independently developed by Professor Deng Hongkui's team at Peking University. Compared with traditional "somatic cell nuclear transfer" and "transgenic overexpression transcription factor" reprogramming to prepare pluripotent stem cells, chemical reprogramming is simpler, more efficient, and safer, solving the "bottleneck" problem in the underlying technology for the development of stem cells and regenerative medicine in China.

At present, this cutting-edge technology is authorized and transformed by Beijing Beiqi Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. In addition to the preparation kit for chemically reprogramming induced human pluripotent stem cells (CiPSC), the company has also successfully developed research and clinical GMP grade seed cells, and has officially begun commercial cooperation with external parties, such as applications in in in vitro drug screening, organoid differentiation, and clinical drug pipeline development. In order to enable more researchers to understand this new technology and accelerate its application in scientific research and clinical treatment, in 2023, Beiqi Biotechnology held chemical reprogramming induced human pluripotent stem cell technology exchange conferences in Beijing, Suzhou, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. The conferences were sold out, and attendees expressed that the technology introduced at the conference was very advanced and the content was full of practical knowledge, thus receiving widespread and unanimous praise from the attendees.
At the beginning of 2024, we will restart the Chemical Reprogramming Induced Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Technology Exchange Conference and tentatively schedule it to be held in Chengdu on May 10th. This exchange meeting will continue to have professional lecturers systematically explain the theory and operational methods of chemical reprogramming, helping researchers quickly master this cutting-edge technology. In addition, this conference will also combine the highly anticipated organoid chip technology internationally to share the cutting-edge applications of organoid chip technology in preclinical drug efficacy prediction and drug screening for attendees.
The organoid chip integrates the advantages of organoids and organ-on-a-chip, forming an organ physiological microsystem. It not only has the advantages of organoids, but also partially compensates for the limitations of existing organoid systems lacking vascularization. It has become one of the main development directions of organoid technology in the future. The combination of chemical reprogramming technology and organoid chip technology can unleash their enormous application prospects and advantages in in vitro drug screening and efficacy evaluation. It can provide a more realistic physiological environment for the establishment of disease models and drug screening, thereby more accurately simulating the effects of drugs in vivo, improving the accuracy and efficiency of drug screening, greatly shortening the drug development cycle, reducing development costs, and accelerating the development process of new drugs.
