A fully functional enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) reader is a precision optical instrument
Date: 2025-12-02Read: 1
A fully functional enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) reader, also known as an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) reader, is an essential precision instrument in fields such as life sciences, medical research, and clinical diagnosis. Its core function is to perform high-throughput and high-precision quantitative analysis of samples in microplates through optical detection technology.
1. Light absorption method: binds antigens or antibodies to the surface of a solid carrier and maintains their immune activity. Linking an antigen or antibody to an enzyme to form an enzyme-linked antigen or antibody that retains both its immune activity and enzyme activity. The antigen antibody complex formed on the solid-phase carrier is separated from other substances by washing, and the amount of enzyme bound to the solid-phase carrier is proportional to the amount of the test substance in the specimen. After adding the substrate to the enzyme reaction, the substrate is catalyzed by the enzyme to become a colored product, and the amount of the product is directly related to the amount of the analyte in the specimen. Therefore, qualitative or quantitative analysis can be performed based on the intensity of the color reaction. Due to the high catalytic frequency of enzymes, the reaction effect can be greatly amplified, thereby achieving high sensitivity in the measurement method.
2. Fluorescence method: The light source excites the fluorescent substance in the sample to emit fluorescence of a specific wavelength, and the fluorescence signal is captured by the detector. Its intensity is related to the concentration of the fluorescent substance.
3. Chemiluminescence method: Quantitative analysis relies on the intensity of light generated by chemiluminescence reactions in the sample, without the need for external light sources.
Precautions for using a fully functional enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) reader:
1. Working environment: The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) reader is a precision optical instrument that should be placed in a location free from strong magnetic fields and interference voltages to ensure its accuracy and stability.
2. Operating standards: Strictly follow the instructions of the reagent kit and ensure accurate reaction time. When washing the board, it should be cleaned thoroughly. If conditions permit, use a board washing machine to avoid cross contamination.
3. Pollution prevention: Do not spill samples or reagents on the surface or inside of the instrument. Please wash your hands after completing the operation. During the measurement process, do not touch the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) plate to prevent the operator's hands from being crushed during the transfer of the ELISA plate.
4. Maintenance: After use, immediately turn off the power switch and unplug the power plug. Use disposable gloves and disposable wipes to clean the exterior of the instrument, guide rails, and plate racks, taking care to avoid any liquid flowing into the interior of the instrument.
