1、 Working principle

The dielectric constant dielectric loss tester adopts a high-voltage automatic anti-interference precision bridge structure, combined with modern electronic technology and digital processing algorithms, to achieve accurate measurement of the dielectric properties of insulation materials. The dielectric constant dielectric loss tester is a high-precision dielectric testing equipment that integrates high-voltage output, frequency conversion anti-interference, digital processing, and temperature control functions. It is suitable for measuring the dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor of various insulation materials. Proper operation and regular maintenance are key to ensuring its long-term stable operation and measurement accuracy.

The core working principle is as follows:

1. Variable frequency power supply technology

The instrument is equipped with a high-power switch power supply, which can output45Hzand55HzPure sine wave, supports4070HzSingle frequency or dual frequency adjustable within the range. Effectively suppress on-site noise through frequency conversion50HzPower frequency interference ensures stable and accurate measurement data can still be obtained in strong electromagnetic environments.

2. digital signal processing

Using Fourier transform digital filtering technology and high-speed modulus/Digital converter(ADC)Real time processing of collected voltage and current signals to accurately calculate the capacitance value of the test sample(Cx)And the dielectric loss factor(tgδ), And automatically identify three types of test samples: capacitors, inductors, and resistors.

3. Automatic pressurization and measurement

The instrument can automatically increase the voltage to the set value(0.510kV)Test under pressure, heating, or vacuum conditions. During the testing process, the microcontroller control system automatically completes frequency switching, data acquisition, calculation, and storage, with full digital operation to reduce human error.

4. Multi mode measurement support

Internal high voltage mode: suitable for low current test samples (such as solid insulation materials).

External high voltage mode: can be connected to an external current transformer (range extender), which can be extended to measure the dielectric loss of high current test samples (such as high-voltage electrical appliances).

Temperature control and vacuum adaptation: built-in heating electrode (highest)180℃) and vacuum interface, supporting the study of dielectric properties of materials under different temperature and pressure conditions.

2、 Precautions for use

To ensure accurate measurement, equipment safety, and smooth personnel operation, please follow the following instructions:

1. safe operation

Grounding must be reliable: The instrument has grounding protection function. If there is poor grounding or no grounding, the equipment will not be able to start high-voltage output.

High voltage protection: Do not touch the electrodes, wiring terminals, and test samples during the testing process to prevent electric shock.

Sample status inspection: Before testing, ensure that the sample is not damaged, damp, or contaminated, and avoid breakdown or short circuit.

2. Environment and Power Supply

Working environment temperature:-10℃~50℃, relative humidity<90%.

Power input:180V270V AC50Hz±1%It is recommended to use a regulated power supply or generator to avoid voltage fluctuations affecting the measurement.

3. test preparation

Electrode cleaning: Before use, ensure that the working surface of the electrode (made of stainless steel material) is clean, free of oxidation or dirt.

Correct wiring: Use shielded connectors to connect and avoid introducing interference; When connecting high voltage externally, please note that the current should not exceed5A.

Parameter setting: Reasonably set the test voltage, frequency, and temperature according to the type of sample to avoid exceeding the range.

4. Operation and Maintenance

Power on self-test: After starting, observe whether the instrument status is normal and whether there are any alarm prompts.

Avoid frequent power on/off: When the testing interval is short, it is recommended to keep the instrument in standby mode.

Data storage and export: can be used after testingUDisk orRS232Export data through the interface and regularly backup to prevent loss.

Regular calibration: It is recommended to perform precision calibration periodically to ensure reliable measurement results.

5. Special case handling

Overcurrent protection: In case of short circuit or breakdown of the test sample, the instrument will automatically cut off the high voltage and protect the internal circuit.

Vacuum operation: If using vacuum function, please ensure good sealing and the vacuum degree does not exceed3×10⁻²MPa.

High temperature test: Pay attention to ventilation when heating the electrode to avoid burns, and wait for cooling before touching the electrode after testing.
