Sharing the correct usage method of the walk-in high and low temperature test chamber
Date: 2025-10-16Read: 0

The walk-in high and low temperature test chamber is the core equipment for environmental reliability testing of large industrial products, automotive components, aerospace equipment and materials. Its large capacity can accommodate complete machines or batch samples, accurately simulating temperature environments ranging from -70 ℃ to+150 ℃ or even wider, used to evaluate the performance stability of products under conditions such as cold and hot shock, high temperature aging, and low temperature storage.

Mastering the correct usage method of the walk-in high and low temperature test chamber is the cornerstone to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable testing. Let's learn about it together below.

Step 1: Environmental preparation and safety confirmation
Install the test chamber in a dedicated area with good ventilation, standard ground load-bearing capacity, and away from flammable and explosive materials. Ensure stable voltage and reliable grounding of the power supply (three-phase five wire system). Check to reserve a heat dissipation space of ≥ 50cm around the box to avoid hot air backflow. Confirm that safety devices such as emergency stop button, over temperature protection, and door lock interlock are functioning properly.
Step 2: Sample loading and layout specifications
Before entering the box, ensure that the equipment is in a stopped state. The sample should be securely placed on a shelf or bracket, and it is strictly prohibited to block the air outlet, return air outlet, and temperature sensor. Maintain a distance of ≥ 5cm between samples to ensure smooth circulation of hot and cold air. The total power of the heating sample needs to be evaluated to avoid exceeding the cooling/heating capacity of the equipment. Flammable, explosive, and corrosive substances are strictly prohibited from being placed.
Step 3: Parameter Setting and Programming
Set the test program through the touch screen control panel. You can choose between constant temperature operation or program operation. The program needs to clearly define:
Initial temperature
Heating and cooling rate (e.g. 1 ℃/min, 3 ℃/min)
Target temperature and holding time
Number of cycles (if applicable)
After setting, carefully check to avoid operating under excessive temperature and pressure.
Step 4: Start up operation and status monitoring
Close the box door and confirm that the seal is good. Start the program and observe whether the compressor, fan, heating tube and other components start normally. Real time monitoring of temperature field distribution and sample status inside the box through observation windows or remote monitoring systems. It is strictly prohibited to open doors randomly during operation to avoid sudden temperature changes, frost, or frostbite to personnel.
Step 5: Sampling midway and handling exceptions
If sampling is required midway, the program should be paused until the temperature returns to a safe range (such as room temperature) before opening the door for operation. If there are faults such as overheating, alarm, abnormal noise, etc., immediately press the emergency stop button, investigate the cause, and eliminate the fault before continuing to operate.
Step 6: End of experiment and equipment maintenance
After the program ends, the device automatically shuts down. Wait until the temperature inside the box approaches room temperature before opening the door to take out the sample. Clean the residue inside the box and keep it dry. Regularly inspect door seals, drainage pipes, and filter screens to ensure they are not damaged or blocked.
