Mastering the common problems and countermeasures of UV lamp weather resistance test chamber is the core to ensure the reliability of test data
Date: 2025-10-23Read: 0

The UV lamp weather resistance test chamber is a key equipment that simulates the aging performance of materials in outdoor UV, humid, and condensing environments. It is widely used in industries such as coatings, plastics, and automobiles. However, in long-term operation, various abnormalities may occur in the UV lamp weather resistance test chamber, affecting the accuracy of the test. Mastering common problem-solving strategies is the core of ensuring the reliability of experimental data.

Problem 1: The UV lamp does not light up or has abnormal brightness
This is a common malfunction. First, check if the power connection is normal and confirm if the fuse is blown. If the power supply is correct, it may be due to aging or damage to the lamp tube. It is recommended to replace the lamp every 1000 hours and ensure that gloves are worn during installation to avoid fingerprint contamination of the lamp surface, which can affect the luminous efficiency.
Problem 2: Low irradiance or large fluctuations
Unstable irradiance will result in distorted test results. Calibrated ultraviolet radiation meters should be used regularly to test the actual output values. If it is too low, clean the dust on the lamp tube and sample rack first; If it still does not meet the standard, check whether the irradiation sensor is contaminated or malfunctioning, and replace or recalibrate it if necessary.
Problem 3: The condensation system cannot be started or the water level is abnormal
The condensation function simulates nighttime moisture erosion. If it cannot work, it may be due to water tank shortage, water pump blockage, or water level sensor failure. Regularly check the water tank level and use deionized water to prevent scale accumulation. If the water pump does not respond, clean the inlet filter and check the circuit connection.
Problem 4: Failure of temperature control
The temperature inside the box may be too high or too low, which may be caused by sensor drift, heating/cooling component failure or door seal aging leading to air leakage. It is recommended to verify the temperature probe monthly, check whether the door seal is deformed or cracked, and replace it in a timely manner to ensure the sealing performance.
Problem 5: Program interruption or controller black screen
This type of problem is often related to power fluctuations or control system failures. Ensure good grounding of the equipment and avoid sharing lines with other high-power devices. Restart the controller. If it fails, contact the manufacturer for software refresh or hardware replacement.
