Principle of piston flowmeter

A piston flowmeter consists of a housing, a piston mechanism, and other components The counting mechanism is completely isolated from the oil and relies on magnetic transmission. When the instrument is connected to the pipeline and fuel flows through, the pressure difference on both sides of the inlet and outlet will push the piston to move

When the rotary motion occurs, the magnetic coupling connected to the piston also rotates. Since the number of revolutions of the piston is proportional to the amount of oil flowing through the instrument, the number of revolutions of the piston counted by the counting mechanism is the amount of oil flowing through the instrument
