ZDCY-80 Intelligent DC Low Voltage Resistance Tester
Overview
The ZDCY-80 intelligent DC low voltage resistance tester is composed of an intelligent DC low resistance tester and a DC resistance testing fixture. LCD displays various parameters and measurement results. The testing fixture has a potential fixture and a current fixture. Mainly used to test the DC resistance of winding wires. This instrument also comes with a temperature sensor and directly displays the temperature value on the display screen. It also has an automatic temperature coefficient compensation function. The measurement result obtained is the corrected standard 20 degree sample resistance value, which can be automatically converted into resistivity. This instrument is also randomly equipped with a standard resistance box (10 m Ω, 100 m Ω, 1 Ω). For users to test and calibrate the instrument. The test clip can be used to measure the resistance of other conductors, and the test data can be uploaded to our company's independently developed quality management system software for statistical analysis and processing of the test data.

1Operation and usage methods
3.1Plug in the power plug, the power socket must use a three hole power socket, and follow the national electrician installation standard, with the left socketNConnect neutral wire, right socketLThe grounding wire and center socket must be properly connected to the grounding wire of the unit power supply system.
3.2The four wires that are led out from the bottom threading hole on the front of the instrumentrootTest cable connectionConnected to the front panel of this instrumentcorresponding HcurTheHpotTheLpotTheLcur Four testing terminalsTighten the socket and tighten the nut.
3.3Turn on the power switch,LCD display:

Among them, "R:" is the measured resistance value, "P:" is the measured resistivity, and "T:" is the measured temperature value
Press the shortcut menu key "MEAS" to enter the settings interface, as shown below:

Temperature compensation: Copper "refers to compensating according to the temperature coefficient of copper. Press the adjacent soft key to change to aluminum or turn off temperature compensation
Press the soft key next to 'Temperature Setting' to correct the measured temperature value
Press the soft key next to 'resistivity setting' to turn on or off the resistivity display function, and set the line type and external dimensions
Press the soft key next to 'Measurement Settings' to select the measurement mode as either direct reading mode or comparison mode
Short circuit "can be reset by pressing the adjacent soft key when resetting
The "line type" can be a circular or flat line, which can be changed within the measurement settings
The "diameter" can be moved with the cursor using arrow keys and entered using numeric keys
The "Machine", "Class", "Model", and "Inspection" can be moved with the cursor using arrow keys and entered using numeric keys. They are mainly used in conjunction with our company's quality management system software
3.4 Zeroing: The randomly configured "measuring clip" is used for measuring the resistance of other objects and for "zeroing". When resetting, insert the "measuring clip" into the Hcur, Hpot, Lpot, and Lcur test sockets on the measuring instrument panel, and short-circuit the measuring clip according to the relevant provisions in the "Operation and Use Manual". Press the soft key next to 'short circuit' again:
The instrument automatically resets the seven measurement gears.
If the measuring clip is not properly short circuited, press the "short circuit button" and the LCD screen will display:
(Tip: The test clip did not short-circuit as required)
After resetting, the 'measuring clip' must be removed, otherwise it will affect the accuracy of the test results. Before testing each batch of samples, the measuring instrument should be reset to zero.
3.5. Instrument settings
3.5.1 As this instrument is mainly used to measure the resistance of winding wires, it has been set to direct reading measurement before leaving the factory, which means the measurement result is the resistance of a winding wire with a length of 1 meter.
3.5.2 Setting of Environmental Temperature
According to GB/T4074.5-2008 Winding Wire Test Method 5: Resistance, it is specified that the resistance is 1m at 20 ℃
DC resistance of long winding wire. When not measured at 20 ℃, temperature coefficient correction must be performed. This instrument automatically corrects the measured resistance value based on the temperature coefficient specified in the standard within the temperature range of 15 ℃ to 25 ℃. To ensure the accuracy of the measurement results, it is recommended to measure at an ambient temperature of 15 ℃ to 25 ℃. The resulting measurement is the corrected resistance value of the 1m long sample at the current temperature, without the need for manual correction.
3.5.3 Setting of tested conductor material: This instrument can set copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) materials, and the setting steps are as follows:
As shown in the above figure: "Temperature Compensation: Copper" refers to compensating according to the temperature coefficient of copper. Press the adjacent soft key to change to aluminum or turn off temperature compensation
After the instrument is set up, if the operating environment temperature and the tested material are not changed, there is no need to perform the instrument setting operation according to section 3.5.

Attention: Before use, an appropriate amount of engine oil should be injected into the oil injection hole ④ to make the handwheel rotate flexibly when straightening the sample and avoid wear of the screw ⑦.
First, press the positions of the two fixtures on both sides to remove the paint film of the sample clamped under the potential and current fixtures ③ on both sides. Lift up the handles ② of the potential and current clamps on both sides to open them. When the sample is less than 3mm, a straightening device can be used to straighten the sample; Press one end of the sample under the left clamp ① of the sample straightening device and the other end under the right clamp ⑥. Rotate the sample straightening handwheel ⑦ clockwise to straighten the sample. Press down the potential and current clamp handles ② on both sides to clamp the test sample tightly. The instrument automatically selects the gear based on the resistance of the tested sample and displays the measurement results. Namely: Rx=****** on the LCD screen, which is the corrected DC resistance value of the one meter long test sample at the current ambient temperature.
3.7 After the test is completed, the handles of the potential and current fixtures on both sides must be lifted first to open the potential and current fixtures. Then lift the left and right clamp handles of the straightening device and remove the sample. To avoid damage to the potential and current fixtures due to the tension of the sample.
3.8 Accuracy check
The measurement accuracy of this instrument has been calibrated in detail before leaving the factory, but it is possible that the measurement accuracy may decrease due to user error or data accumulation caused by long-term use. Therefore, based on the characteristic that users mainly use this instrument to measure the resistance of copper rods or winding wires, one 10m Ω, 100m Ω, and 1 Ω standard resistance box with three levels is randomly equipped. After a period of use, users can use a standard resistance box to perform accuracy checks on the instrument according to the following methods.
3.8.21 Environment during Inspection
Temperature: 20 ± 1 ℃
Requirements for the working environment of other reference instruments.
3.8.2 Resistance accuracy inspection steps
3.8.2.1 Remove the sample measurement line from the panel and insert the testing clip.
Note: The instrument must first be turned on and preheated for at least 15 minutes.
3.8.2.2 Set "Temperature Compensation: Copper" to the off state according to sections 3.5.2 to 3.5.3 of this manual
3.8.2.3 Clamp the randomly configured 10 m Ω, 100 m Ω, 1 Ω, and three standard resistors one by one onto the measuring clamp (note: the red clamp faces in the same direction) for measurement, and record the actual measured values.
3.8.2.4 Compare the measured value with the standard resistance, and the error should be within 1%. If there is a significant deviation, please contact our company.
Non professionals are not allowed to make arbitrary settings to avoid affecting the measurement accuracy of the instrument.
